"Great lodge"

8.0

Clean and very spacious lodge. Nice area to sit out on with chairs. Easily accessed from the A1 but lodge set back so no road noise heard. Dog friendly. Great hot tub. On-site pub and able to walk through to neighbouring site with another pub which did great food, also dog friendly.

Bathroom door handle broken as per previous reviews. The garden part where the hot tub is could be improved as looks a little run down. Also unable to let our dog loose in this section as not secure, a small fence could make this area dog/child safe.

"A great stay. Kids (and us adults) loved hot tub!"

Hot tub. Spacious.

Weeds in patio garden between slabs(brings the look down a bit. A few general-repairs (upkeep)required. Wifi poor.

"Half term fun"

9.0

This is a beautiful lodge in the perfect location. The park is clean and nicely kept. The kids loved the play park. The location is brilliant for exploring Northumberland. The lodge itself had a great outside, which was great and a lot bigger than we thought. Inside was comfortable and plenty of space, facilities including the xbox was a great added extra. I would definitely stay here again. If you ever want a night off cooking, we can recommend yum yum takeaway in the next village.

"Nice accommodation for family with hot tub"

10.0

This is a great place. It’s excellent value for money and was a lot cheaper than anything else I looked at with a hot tub. Great to have hot tub and fenced in garden. Would absolutely use again. Excellent location to explore the area. Lots to do and it’s a lovely site. Just off a1 but lodge located near back so no road noise. Perfect for a family break.

Was perfect for what we paid for the accommodation, but toilet door could do with some attention as it’s broken

"lovely lodge."

Great value ! we liked the location of the lodge within the park, it felt private. Only lodge there with a garden. Lovely seating area on the decking. Comfy beds.

A few maintenance jobs need doing but nothing major.

"Beautiful place, our lodge just needed some maintenance."

9.0

Very nice lodge, in need of some serious maintenance though which is a shame. Beautiful location, the park is a great added bonus for families as is the pub on the adjoining site and having the Zoo next door is a huge plus. The WiFi could be better. The staff beforehand were very helpful, we explained that we required everything breakable to be removed in case our Autistic son got hold of it and they did this no problem, this was very helpful.

The lodge needed a lot of maintenance, the bathroom door was broken, our 4 year old managed to lock himself in because the door handle kept falling apart, he is Autistic and this was really traumatic for us all. The hot tub lights didn't work and the jets didn't work either which was a shame, it was also set far too hot (39°) to have children in so we had to have the lid off for some time before actually getting in. One of our dining chairs was broken which our son almost fell through, we had to move this into the back bedroom cupboard. The final point would be that there must be a fence of some sort fitted to the back as our dog was able to get out onto the road as there is no secure fencing back there.
