RUM STARDUST lUXURY CAMP

The delightful owner of the camp, Majid, provides co-ordinates to his own home, where you can leave your car. You will go up a small lane and half was up on the left, you will see a brown electric gate, with black metal work. This is Majid's home. Majid took us to the camp in his truck. There are a lot of camps in the Wadi, many of them right by the road and overlooking or next door to each other. Stardust Camp is 10 minutes up the Wadi and is on its own. We had booked a tent with a balcony, which had fabulous views over the desert, comfortable beds, electricity and an en-suite bathroom. We didn't realise there would be electricity, so unfortunately, we didn't take our travel kettle or hairdryer. The food was good and, as a vegetarian, I ate well. If you stay a couple of nights, you are likely to see your dinner being cooked in the traditional way, buried in the sand. We went on a morning tour of the Wadi, which I found to be just right. We were then able to spend the afternoon sitting on the balcony.

The pillows were hard for us and there were no towels - so take your own. The beds did not have linen, just a bedspread, which was too warm for us cold blooded Northern Europeans. Take a cotton sheet sleeping bag if you want to be cooler at night. Vegetarians - when the food is cooked in the sand, all the veg is cooked in with the meat, but it is easy enough to pick out the veg.

Let me tell you this and please read closely - me & my wife have been in Jordan for over a week and visited many places and slept in many hotels, but only in Wadi Wadi Rum stardust Camp we have felt truly like home!!!Mohammad and his brothers are wondeful , friendly people who will do everything to make your stay there as pleasant as possible. I really hope to see them again in the future! The atmosphere in the camp was very family-like and we met people from all around the world while sitting by the fire and watching the stars, or playing Uno, laughing at jokes and drinking tea :) And if you take the full day jeep tour you will not be sorry :) our guide Sleman was the perfect gentleman, I could not ask for a better person to take us to the desert!

Everything excellent, best days in Jordan!!!!

Everything was wonderful! We stayed there just one night, but we wanted to stay longer, because we felt like home there. The staff is very welcoming, the rooms are clean with a large bed and fluffy and warm blankets for colder evenings. The food was excellent, their traditional dinner was delicious (rice with vegetables and chicken cooked under the sand). As an activity, we opted for a 4-hour jeep tour in the desert. It was amazing, the landscapes are breathtaking. We recommend this camp with confidence. It was an unique experience.

Excellent experience overall. The camp is located inside Wadi Rum, and not at the border near the road like many. You can feel you are in the heart of the desert and it is very private. The cabins were spacious and very comfortable, everything was spotless clean, the bed and pillow were comfortable. There is a big window in glass where you get a great view of the desert and, at night, of the stars. Bathroom has hot water and was very clean. Majid was an excellent host, with easy communication and providing everything we could ask for. WiFi is strong on common areas and we got some in our cabin. Excellent value for money. Payments in cash, so plan accordingly.

This is our second time at Stardust camp, and it is by far our favourite camp in Wadi Rum. It offers an authentic experience without compromising on comfort. The camp is perfect for stargazing and disconnecting from the city. The staff are very helpful and have arranged for us trips during the day. Thank you, Majid and Samer for your hospitality. We will sure be returning.

If you're looking for a place to disconnect from reality and live the full desert experience, I would strongly recommend to visit Stardust Camp. The location is perfect and the views are breathtaking. The staff were friendly and the room was so clean.
