"All in all, a delightful stay in a Martian tent"

10.0

It was an amazing experience. The rooms (I took the Martian bubble style room) were very comfortable and had cool air conditioning. Inside the desert with unique red rocky mountains. Dinner “zarb” in traditional Bedouin style, taken from under the sand, is a special experience + another extensive list of optional foods. Our host was a wonderful man named Suleiman, and he was the kindest. The staff were fantastic and at least 10 out of 10. We took a 4 hour jeep tour which was truly fantastic, Suleiman is a wonderful photographer who took beautiful and imaginative pictures for us, it was a unique experience inside the clear sky with no light pollution inside that great uninhabited desert area and for me it was inevitable, some films were made there ( Martian 2015-mat damon).

"Pretty good place with good hospitality."

7.0

The location of the property is amazing and well maintained, the staff is very friendly especially Mohammed and Ali, who welcomed us and took us to safari with great spots and was very generous. Food was delicious too.

The main drawback of this property is that, they do not provide electricity from morning 7AM until evening 6PM which is pretty annoying and not worth for the amount you are investing. if this is resolved, then it’s a great place to stay.

"Probably won’t stay here again"

5.0

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

They only turned the AC on from 10pm-8am, and it was very hot in the tent. There was a stray dog that barked all night outside the tents, and stole my husband’s shoe, which was left on the porch. We laughed about it, but…not great. The breakfast wasn’t great either. We also didn’t like that it is located outside of the main part of the Preserve, but it was conveniently located near the Wadi Rum Full Moon Marathon, which is the event that we were there for. The staff were very kind, which helped make the mediocre experience a little better.

"Never again"

4.0

The scenery is great. Wifi did reach our bubble so no questions there. And it was the most affordable bubble room i could find. Food was ok. The team saved us some food when we arrived very late, which they didnt have to do.

Before you read the cons you have to know the author visited Wadi Rum for the 5th time and seen a few other camps. The camp is NOT inside Wadi Rum RED desert as indicated on the map, and it circa 35km away in a totally different place. The camp shut off power generators at 6 am so you could not stay in your room and had to buy jeep tours or whatever. Or stay in the main dining building. Instead of the room you PAID for. And they tell you that the moment you sit in the car to go to the camp. But they turn power generators ON at nights, so you have trouble sleeping next to a running engine. Genius thing to do in a desert where people come to enjoy the silence. The bed was quite stiff but the matress was in a plactic bag (are they hosting kids?) so you got all sweaty. The pillows are as stiff a bricks. Super cheap everything basically. The camp is ran by a young boy who tells you they save on electricity but praises himself for not charging you the camp transfer fees, which is absurd. The folks who work in this camp barely speak English. Basically the local folk got spoiled by a few years of easy money and the hospitality you had in Wadi Run a few years ago is gone, which is a disgrace to local people who try to rip you off at every step. I've had this last year in a camp with no hot water, now this camp with no electricity. Elders give camps to run to boys under 30 (Hi Mohammed) who only want cash from you and charge you for anything and destroy the image of the Bedouin people. By the way - if you want to pay with a card they want 8 (eight) percent commission on top. The cherry on top is the guy supposed to pick us at 6.30 am from the camp arrived ah hour later and we almost missed our flight. All this for 100 euros per night. This camp is a disgrace to bedouin hospitality which is vanishing more every time i visit Wadi Rum.

"Very good"

8.0

The dinner was really good. Atmosphere in the camp is generally nice.

We have payed a tour of 2.5h for 5 people 200eur. We were taken by an old jeep around the desert, and it was nice, but it can't cost 200eur.
