La Grandeur de la Semplicitè. It was amazing...very high Quality/Price and Hassan is always ready to give the best for an enjoyable stay. The road to go there is perfect and with Gps Coordinates no problem. Last but not least Breakfast is really great. We have dinner there and was really super with a really good price. The Chef is excellent!!!! A place I am sure will be again there in the next trip.

Outside there is just a Label Nomad Bivouac without Restaurant...pity because the Chef is very good!!!! ;-))))

Nomadic in a name and nature, this bivouac was everything I hoped it would be. The meals were fantastic and authentic to the region and the service was great. The bivouac is minimalist and simple, but was a great experience and rest stop.

"For those willing to rough it and wanting a more authentic experience . . ."

8.0

Nomad Bivuoac is a wonderful alternative to staying in a hotel in Merzouga. The location is a bit removed from the center and requires a taxi or it's a 25 minute walk. But it's not easy to find. You'll need Lhou, the manager to pick you up or go by taxi. The overall experience has a more authentic feel. Lhou grew up as a nomad and is willing to share stories about his life, or if you're lucky, play some music after dinner. The best tajines I had in all Morocco were here, and I traveled for 5 and half weeks. Make sure to be on time for your meals though! Being late is definitely frowned upon! The tents are basic and the beds are adequate. You're roughing it here, Basically camping in an enclosed courtyard. There are a couple of western style toilets and shower stalls with hot water. But be aware that it's the desert, so you should limit your water consumption. There was also good wifi. My friend and I arranged an overnight camel trek into the dunes. I would highly recommend this. You get to stay in a small oasis inside the dunes away from all the other encampments. But make sure to discuss the details and price. We went for only one night and wish we could have stayed for two, as our return started immediately after breakfast the next day while another couple staying there got to do more cultural things afterwards before heading back to Merzouga. Overall, no complaints. It's strictly for those willing to sacrifice some comforts to experience the real deal, or something close to it . . .

Lhou can be aloof and intimidating. He never smiled the first couple of days we were there. But he softened up afterwards, even smiled, and played music after our dinner. The place is a bit remote. You'll need to contact the manager (Lhou) for a ride or directions on how to get there. Not all taxi drivers in Merzouga know where it is.

"Wonderful stay at Nomad Bivouac"

10.0

Fantastic owner Lhou who is friendly and catered to our needs. We used this camp as a base for our Sahara Desert adventure. We spent one unforgettable night in a luxurious camp offered by Lhou. Lhou prepared a delicious grilled lamb and chicken dinner for us. After dinner, he serenaded us by playing the guitar and drums. He also advised us to take the Supratour bus from Merzouga to Tinghir and bought the tickets for us. We appreciated very much his warm hospitality. We highly recommend his camp because of his amazing hospitality and tremendous value although the facilities are simple but clean.

nothing. We are very satisfied with the camp.

If you are deciding which accommodation to choose in merzouga, stop looking because you’ve found it! everything from the room to the bathroom facilities to the meals was amazing. Hassan is the best host we have encountered in our travels! He is so welcoming and accommodating for your every need. We booked 3 nights at Nomad Bivouac for honestly the best price you could get for any accommodation comparable and were interested in all the desert activities which Hassan provides! We had the options of camel trekking, 4x4, or ATV all through Hassan and we chose to do the camel trek overnight into the desert which his cousin leads. Was a wonderful experience and the convenience of booking was great. Delicious and plentiful breakfast (by far the best we have had in our 3 week trip in Morocco), and dinner for 100 dirham per person with a very large entreè followed by an even larger tajine, also THE BEST dinner we have had in our entire stay visiting 5 other cities/ towns in Morocco. It is the most food we have had for the price and the quality outranks anywhere else so definitely get it every night! Book with Hassan and make unforgettable memories thanks to this lovely man. We will be recommending him to everyone coming his way :)

It’s hard to find the right words to describe the kindness and helpfulness of Hassan. He is such a nice guy and helped us in every way you can imagine. It’s incredible to hear about his nomadic life as a kid, how he never went to school but speaks like 6 languages perfectly, when he talks about his family, simply impressive. The food was great, we got tea served all the time, the room and bathroom were clean. Hassan organised a desert tour with his cousin Omar and that was great too. All the people at the camp were so nice and gave their best for us.
