Luxury Rural Ayrshire Glamping Pod

The location. The size was so much bigger than expected, perfect for the kids.

The pod was lovely, but a little more attention to detail and cleanliness would be beneficial. Whilst putting sheets on the double mattress, after pulling back there were spiders and lots of dust etc. A little dust would make a difference in the bathroom etc as lots of cobwebs with flies. But apart from that could not fault.

The view - good to have firewood provided (even if we didn’t get chance to use it due to the rain). All facilities provided.

As an arthritic OAP, the step up to the property was impossible without help. Just too high - one extra wooden box to stand on to get me up there would have helped. Similarly, the key box was impossible to reach and manage, whereas we’ve accessed lots of key boxes on our travels - this one was too low down - couldn’t see / reach the numbers in the dark. Wish there’d been a couple more passing places and less local youngsters shouting and shrieking on that lane - what with a Chinese delivery guy banging on our door when it was dark & we were in bed (& the door curtain was broken), giving us the shock of our lives, shouting at us - when we hadn’t ordered a takeaway, it wasn’t a particularly relaxing place to be at night - put us off rather. Not the property’s fault though & probably just our bad luck. Oh - and the reek of weed from the couple in the next pod was quite overwhelming too!

Il pod è in una posizione magnifica immersa nella natura. Purtroppo siamo rimasti solo una notte e non abbiamo potuto sfruttare l’area esterna con il barbecue ma abbiamo acceso un falò nel caratteristico braciere con la legna che ci era stata fornita.

La struttura non è per nulla segnalata quindi arrivando tardi abbiamo avuto difficoltà a trovarla. Si arriva al fondo di una stradina sterrata e ci si trova davanti a due cancelli chiusi senza cartelli. Per arrivare al pod bisogna aprire il cancello e attraversare un ponticello di legno poi proseguire ancora un po’ attraverso la strada nel bosco.

Everything! It was perfect for a family of four with two teens. Pods were exceptionally clean with own bbq, fire pit and sheltered eating area. Also spaced away enough from other pods. Loved the walks round about especially the fairy walk. The stables were amazing and the horses were so friendly and regularly came for a clap. The stars at night were also amazing, managed to see the Milky Way clearly and a variety of shooting stars. We will definitely be back. There was also a stove for cooking a kettle, microwave and a BBQ.
