Tranquil setting, amazing views, simple but comfortable accommodation and friendly and helpful staff. Hot scones delivered daily. What’s not to like?

Where do I start, the host Bettie is warm, she came out to welcome us as we drove onto the property. Our cottage was located on the lake - it was beautiful to have breakfast on the patio overlooking the lake and watching the birds build nests. The unit was large, spacious, immaculately clean and well catered for. We also received freshly baked scones every morning which adds a nice homely feel. Although we did not book our Sani pass tour with Bettie, she went the extra mile of contacting the tour company and confirming our pickup as well as printing the required forms for the border post. The entire property is very well maintained especially the hiking trials leading out and up the mountain. This was an excellent place to unwind and detach - there is no cell phone signal and wifi is only available at the clubhouse - with so much to do, this was not an issue for us. I would definitely book here again, it is all the little additional touches from the host Bettie that makes this place special.

Lovely old cottage at the beginning of the Sani pass. All you could want and a fire going in the evening. Great scones provided in the morning, setting you up for the slog over the pass!
