Beachside proximity

Did not sleep all night long due to loud heavy machinery roadworks that operated all night on the main road and all hours of the morning when you would ordinarily sleep. Failure of the hotel to disclose this detail about approved roadworks on weeknights, they only mention weekdays but not the night roadworks during the booking process. On arrival they failed to bring this up and did not offer any assistance such as earplugs or to choose another quieter room, even though we mentioned we needed a quiet room. The room compendium is digital and failed to mention this very disruptive evening and morning roadworks, and should have also offered the ability to request earplugs or a room relocation. The approved roadworks we found out were for 6.30pm till 6.30am, whilst these roadworks cannot be controlled by the hotel directly they could have disclosed and handled the guest stay much much better. Many visible signs of lack of maintenance on damaged walls, doors, facilities and rusty equipment, in the room and general common areas as well. Staff have attitude and do not come across as helpful or keen. I don't generally write reviews but lack of sleep, multiple nights, is not my version of a long deserved enjoyable holiday after a very long drive.

Loved the convenience and size of the apartment. Loved the Chinese restaurant Nextdoor.

Decor is very dated. Not very near a choice of restaurants.

The property location is excellent with only a very short walk to the beach and local cafes and restaurants The facilities are excellent for a family

Room was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. Beds were great, lots for the kids to do with 2 pools and games rooms. Excellent location with 2 supermarkets in the next block, and the beach right out front. Only a short walk to Burleigh surf club and shops.

Was a bit noisy at night with people hanging around the pool area. Bins were emptied by trucks so early and they were loud! Quite a wake up call.

Great location and facilities

The 4pm check in can be very inconvenient. Our room was 88, everything was clean and comfortable except bedroom needs better block out curtains and front lounge/ kitchen would need air-conditioning in summer.

Has everything you need, so many activities to do and the pool is fantastic. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a dinner in bbq area which made our family holiday more memorable.

There was a bad sewage smell coming from the bathroom which only came about when the shower was used.
