Tarasówka

We stayed at Rate Tarasówka in Małe Ciche for one night (20–21 August) as a group of 10 people, including kids, in 3 rooms. The location is lovely and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing stay. All the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the facilities were excellent. The pool and jacuzzi were great to use (the water could be a bit cleaner, but still good enough), and the sports hall was a real highlight – the kids had hours of fun there. Free WiFi was available, though it took a little time to find the password, and parking was a bit busy but manageable in the end. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They quickly fixed a TV remote and also arranged a double bed for us when we asked. Dinner and breakfast buffet had a good variety of food, which everyone in our group enjoyed. Overall, we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. With clean rooms, great facilities, and helpful staff, this was a wonderful place for families and groups. We’d definitely come back again.

The hotel has potential, but there are areas that could be improved to make the stay smoother for guests. There is no reception desk, and when we arrived, it was difficult to find a member of staff. We eventually had to call the local number from Booking.com for help – to their credit, they were quick and helpful once contacted. At the time of our visit, the hotel was very busy with kids on summer camp, which made the atmosphere feel quite chaotic. Our rooms were not quite ready when we arrived at 4:30pm, likely because the place was fully booked. The rooms themselves were clean and nice, but the double room felt a bit too small for two adults. We also noticed there was no information provided in the rooms about facilities, WiFi password, or meal times, which made things a bit confusing. A simple information sheet or guide would make a big difference. A kettle with tea/coffee-making facilities and a working TV remote would also be appreciated. Dinner was listed as “lunch” by mistake on Booking, but in reality, it was served from 5–6pm, which is a little early. The dinner buffet offered a good variety, but the taste was not quite at local standards. Breakfast was better, with a nice variety, although the bakery items could be fresher. It would have been nice to have some juice or soft drinks in addition to tea and coffee. Another downside was that there was construction work going on at the hotel, which made things noisy and a little chaotic with workers and equipment around. That being said, the staff we did interact with were friendly and tried to help quickly once contacted, and the rooms were kept clean. With better organization, clearer information for guests, and some small improvements in facilities and dining, this place could be a much more enjoyable stay.

1. Nie ma recepcji. Znalazłem kucharza w kuchni, który pomógł mi zameldować się w pokoju. 2. Nie ma recepcji i nikt mi nie powiedział, gdzie wszystko jest. Dopiero na końcu przypadkiem dowiedziałem się, że jest bilard i tenis. 3. Nie ma mikrofalówki. Mówią, że to ze względów bezpieczeństwa pożarowego, ale jest kuchenka elektryczna. 4. W pokoju jest czajnik, ale nie ma kubków. Prawdopodobnie chcą, żebyś pił z czajnika. Trzeba biec do kuchni i pytać. 3. Kiedy byliśmy na wakacjach, były 2 kolonie dla dzieci, baseny były pełne, nie dało się pływać z dzieckiem. 4. Brudne baseny i jacuzzi. Przez 3 dni nikt ich nie sprzątał, były pełne piasku. Śmierdzi bagnem jacuzzi 5. Dyskoteka dla dzieci do 23:00. Nie polecam na wakacje z rodziną. Za te pieniądze można znaleźć o wiele lepszą opcję, z przynajmniej jakąś obsługą.

Pokój na poddaszu bardzo ciasny

The rooms were good size, comfy beds, clean. We had a little balcony, with a mountain view, stunning. The breakfast was very good, with a choice of warm sausages and eggs, accompanied by cold plates. Coffee available 24/7, very tasty. Communal, large fridge in the corridor. Lovely staff, great location. The spa facilities are very nice too. Big, warm jacuzzi, cold 7-8m swimming pool as well as a kids pool. Available any time, covered by a retractable curtain walling system.

Only a few minor details. The worst of them was the structure of the building. Since the neighbouring rooms' toilets are facing your rooms main wall, and the walls are thin plasterboard, you can hear the water flow of the shower as if it was next to you. Niagara falls level of noise unleashed. If you are lucky enough to have a family of 4 staying next door, you will hear continous rumbling at 10pm. Not ideal if you want to wake up early to hike. The toilet itself was a bit dated and could use a refurb.
