Phapok Eco Resort

Nothing but great things to say! The photos do not do this place justice, this is a luxurious tropical retreat with first class facilities. The staff are amazing (thank you Ao!) and really go out of their way to accomodate any needs. Local restaurant recommended by reception was fantastic. We loved this place so much that we would have cancelled the rest of our booked accommodation to stay here if we could have. Definitely coming back!

Absolutely nothing!

Aesthetically the design is okay and the rooms are big. However the one thing that saved this place from getting a lower rating from me is the very kind staff.

For me this hotel was very underwhelming especially considering the high nightly price. I got a discounted price and I still felt scammed a little. I have stayed in much better hotels in Thailand for this price. It feels like they are using the word 'Eco' to the raise the price and I didn't see much in terms of its eco-friendliness. They claim this is a 4 star hotel however, does not have the traits of a 4 star hotel, no gym, no spa or massage and when I was there no restaurant. The breakfast was really average not exciting at all. Also there is a little to no view of your surrounding area, you are just in the forest. The pool is okay but looks onto the road. The beds are also really hard, not qualities you generally see in a 4 star hotel. Considering the price and underwhelming experience, I personally would not recommend this place.

Very nice hotel in very nice area on the Myanmar border. Hotel is on a very quiet road which only has the hotel and a coffee shop. Just past the hotel the road becomes a 4x4 road up to Khao Krajom viewpoint. Hotel is very nicely designed, especially the landscaping which is really well done. Not a big place. Choice of expensive pool villas, pool view rooms and garden view rooms. Restaurant, bar and small swimming pool. Food is good (had 2 evening meals). We stayed in a poolview room and moved to a garden view room. TIP: If you like a quiet life, choose a garden view. We found the noise and people being right outside the room irritating when staying in a pool view room.

BAD POINTS: Rock hard mattresses! Bathroom has a double sliding screen which is not practical.

Very beautiful resort, well decorated and breakfast is really nice. All staffs are helpful, polite and manner. I really enjoyed this resort!
