Forest beach Shorefield Park

Brilliant caravan, very clean and tidy and a great location in the park. Plenty of indoor and outside space for a family of 4. Space in 3rd bedroom for our travel cot. Facilities are brilliant, swimming pools clean and well managed, play areas of a high standard and the restaurant was lovely. Very well stocked shop too!

ONLY negative was limited cupboard space for food which wouldn't be an issue if you were out and about more.

The location was nice

The holiday home was extremely uncomfortable and 3 of us did not sleep. The pictures are deceiving and you cannot see that the space at both sides of the double bed means you have to shuffle sideways to get in and out of bed. The carpet in the lounge was ripped and coming out of the carpet guard, which again is nit shown on the pictures. The net curtains had mold spots on them. There was mold around the shower. There were numerous cleanliness issues. Mold in the fridge / freezer seal. We bought food and could not cook. The oven pan was not usable and the spatula was filthy. We ended up spending even more money eating out. I have lots of pictures and I was waiting to hear back from booking.com about my complaints and requests for a partial refund before I post all my pictures and review on trip advisor and Google but i have heard nothing. I have never been so disappointed. We had to stay due to having things booked and paid for while we were down that way. I have left feeling exhausted and as if I didnt have a break away 😞

Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und recht zentral. Der Kontakt mit dem Besitzer war sehr freundlich und man war sehr hilfsbereit und entgegenkommend.

Für einen 4 Personenhaushalt ist deutlich zu wenig Geschirr (Messer, Gabeln, große Töpfe) vorhanden. Eine Kaffeemaschine, z.B. eine einfache French Press ist garnicht vorhanden und auch leider in der Buchung nicht erwähnt. Ein absoluter Tiefpunkt sind Decken und Matratzen. Im „Kinderzimmer“ waren auf der Decke noch Reste von Erbrochenem, im Elternschlafzimmer war die Matratze verpinkelt, ebenso große Flecken in der Bettdecke, was wir aber erst nach dem Abziehen der Betten zum Urlaubsende gemerkt haben. Die Kücheneinrichtung hat wohl durch Vormieter einen Hitzeschaden abbekommen durch den sich das Furnier von den Schränken löst. Die Öffnungszeiten des Schwimmbades sind blöd gelegt. Abends wir bereits um 18:00 geschlossen. Wenn man den ganzen Tag sightseeing macht und abends mit den Kindern nochmal baden möchte ist das nicht möglich. Wir hatten unwissend vorher eine Badekarte gekauft die wir dann nicht nutzen konnten. Freundlicherweise hat davon aber der Besitzer des Caravan die Hälfte an Kosten übernommen.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation in a good location within the park. Decking on 2 sides with attractive seating and child proof fencing around. Comfortable lounge area with views of sunset.

Crockery and cutlery are quite limited - just enough to cope, but matching sets would lift the tone considerably. Limited places to hang towels and beach clothes to dry. Towel rails and hooks would be good. The site has reasonable provision for younger children but very little for 9 years on.
