Luxury Shepherds Hut - The Moorhen by the lake

it was so cleverly designed. it must have taken quite some thought to fit everything you need into such a tiny space. I certainly didn’t expect a piping hot, strong, shower! Lovely just to sit and enjoy the birds, but also very easy to explore York from here with the Park and Ride buses just a short drive away.

Beautiful lake with a variety of birds. Lovely hosts. Smiling and welcoming as well as helpful. Very quiet which we loved. Clean and comfortable accomodation. All and all a very nice place to stay at. Definitely stay again and recommend

Cannot name a thing w did not like

The view overlooking the Lake is lovely. The Hut has everything you need and has been finished to a very high standard.

Property was in a nice quiet location, but still easy to find. The owners where helpful and nice to chat to, even allowed us to go and look at the cows on the farm. The shepherds hut itself was spotless and high spec

Bed was slightly uncomfortable however most pull out beds of this type often are

We enjoyed the warm greeting from David and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The location and scenery were idyllic and tranquil. We will be back again soon.

Absolutely nothing

A lovely welcome by the hosts, and the hut was very clean, cosy and peaceful! It was the perfect little escape for me and my partner. Also easy to get to York and explore for the day.
