De Hoop Collection - Village Cottages

The location is unbeatable and the activities and beauty of the area are unrivaled. It is an incredible place with so many activities and a diversity that few other places can offer.

My only recommendations for improvement are some shade outside at the Village cottages, either a large umbrella or pergola. It is very bright and hot during the day which makes it difficult to sit outside. I also feel a bigger fridge is necessary for self catering. We were 5 people who stayed for 4 nights and it was very hard to fit everything into the fridge.

Simple but totally appropriate for the setting- really clean and well serviced

Beautiful spot with the lagoon on 2 sides. The wine list at the restaurant was fantastic. Service was great. Breakfast was good but the dinner menu was limited. Beautiful views of the sea. The guided boat trip is great and the guide Naz was very knowledgeable. Our unit was serviced which helped a lot.

The road from Bredasdorp is a poor gravel road of 40km or so, and the gravel roads within the conservation area was also quite poor. There is only 1 place where you can get to the sea, and its quite a walk down.

Freilaufende Tiere, weitläufiges Gelände und Nähe zum Strand. Das Restaurant war fußläufig zu erreichen und hatte super Frühstück. Man hat sich wie in einem Feriendorf gefühlt.

Das Restaurant hatte nur Menüs zum Abendessen und die Portionen waren nicht sehr groß. Rezeption und Restaurant Personal war nicht sonderlich freundlich. Wegen der Abgeschiedenheit der Unterkunft, lohnt sich eine Nacht nicht, zumal man erst ab 14 Uhr ins Haus darf.
