"Hidden cost -Do not recommend"

The location is nice, close to a lake and a short car ride to Ghent, Antwerp, Brugges and Bruxeles.. The house is nice and cute, good for a short stay.

We were asked for a 250 euro cash deposit on arrival. A week before the stay we received a message from the property that we would have to pay 60 euros for cleaning. This fee was not initially mentioned on the booking website and before we left the host took the money (50 euro only) from the cash deoisit. We never got an invoice/ receipt for this money. This was a hidden cost which was very unfair as we left the chalet clean and tidy. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We had an awesome stay, very clean mobile home with everything we needed. It's really close to the Noordsee, in a small village with all the basic infrastructure. The reception was great, although the lady was not comfortable in English it was enough to understand all the basics, and she was very kind. You must come with a car, because it's not close to the main cities. Heating, shower, oven...everything was working fine, so I can say it's still convenient if the during winter. Supermarkets are close, as well as the access to the main roads to Gand, Brussels and Brugges.

It was not completely clear that you need to make a deposit in cash at arrival (250EUR), but there was a cash machine not very far away. Same about the electricity, that comes on the top of the room rate. I had to come back to booking.com website, and it was all stated there - but still I think this should be clearer. It's not a big deal, I would book again if I come back to this area in the future.

"Trip to BEL"

It was clean and in a safe area

On the site is not specified that we have to pay 50EUR/pers at the beginning of our stay...like an insurance that will be returned if everything is ok when we do the check-out Also, something that I never experienced, we have to pay for electricity that we use during our stay
