Base Camp Tasmania

Lovely cosy cabin with everything you need inside or nearby. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. You’re only 45mins from Mount Field National Park and 20mins to New Norfolk but it feels like you’re in remote bush surrounded by nature.

In very cold weather (less than 5° overnight) you needed to have both heaters on at maximum to maintain about 18°c inside. Keeping the bathroom door closed helped but this meant it became very cold in there,

Tucked away in the hills, owners were friendly and facilities were good and clean. Lots over wildlife to see and a perfect place to relax.

Wifi was a bit flakey and no mobile reception. Not really a negative, but something to consider if you need it.
