Rivinu Holiday Resort

We had a great stay at Rivinu Holiday Resort. The location is perfectly tucked in the mountain but still very close to the city. We were able to rent a scooter and book a cooking class for a very good price. The family running it made the experience extra special and every interaction brought a smile to our faces. The property is awesome! It is located on the hills, 600 meters from the main road of Ella. The cottage is very cozy and quiet, a few steps away from the hosts’ house - this guarantees total privacy. You can have breakfast on the lovely terrace that faces the hills while listening to birds singing. The host family is the sweetest, always smiling and ready to help with any need. They provided me with a scooter, a lift to the train station at my departure and lots of recommendations. They can provide breakfast and food if you tell them with a little advance.

Rivinu holiday resort is amazing. The room is clean, the view is amazing, the breakfast is great and the hosts are the kindest people we met. They invited us in their home for a cooking class, drove us to the yala national park and helped us with everything! Highly recommend!

Staff was very kind

Eranda and his family are the nicest family we met on our trip in Sri Lanka. Their cottage is spacious, clean and has a great view in the morning with a pleasent breakfast served. Hot water in the shower as well. The location is perfect, in the nature and just out of town. Don't let you scare that. Eranda offered multiple times to drive us to Ella town. The way back from Ella town (15 min) is mostly down, so most of the times we chose to walk this back. A 10/10 stay! We would recommend 3 nights in Ella.

We liked view from our hut and hospitality of Dina (I don't remember correctly her name) the owner. Each morning we had delicous homemade breakfest. The room and bathroom was clean. We had warm blanket as well. They arranged for us tut tuk to the train station for good price. Thank you!

The place is little moldy but every place in Ella is like that as far as I know due to humidity. However I recommand!

Honestly I couldn’t say more good things about this place! Everything was incredible - the wonderful, sweetest hosts, the delicious breakfast, the clean room with a gorgeous balcony and view!! Highly highly recommend staying here when you’re in Ella! Thank you!

Fantastic hosts, I was greeted with tea & biscuits & it was cool after the south. The host took me to the sunrise start of a trek & took me to the train station. Beautiful fsnily, nestled in the tea plantation.

The accommodation could have been a little cleaner & you have to get a tuk tuk back from Ella really although the host offered to taje me.

It's a lovely nice family! Eranda was very kind and helpful. He shared with us some recommendations about local places that we wanted to try, and offered to pick us up and drop us at the train station on his day off. The location was great for us. In the middle of a tea garden away from the noise but still reachable within 7 min by scooter from the town. The room was very clean with a private bathroom and balcony. The bed is super comfy, we slept very well here and we had all our privacy.
