It was so beautiful. The design and architecture is outstanding. I felt like I was staying in Middle Earth from Lord of the Rings.

Bambu Indah is undeniably a beautiful property, the natural surroundings and thoughtful architecture are truly impressive.

Extremely poor customer service, which completely overshadowed the charm of the place. Upon check-in, our luggage was not delivered for nearly three hours, with the staff citing rain as the reason. As a result, we were left waiting in our villa, unable to change out of our wet clothes for hours. We were also given no walking tour of the property and no safety instructions, once again with the same explanation, “because it was raining.” Later once the rain had stopped, we decided to explore the property. We were taken down by the elephant lift, but on our return, we were told that the lift went under maintenance, forcing us to climb steep, slippery stairs in the dark without any guidance or safety assistance. None of the staff offered to show us the way or accompany us, they simply laughed it off. The climb felt particularly unsafe after the rain, in the dark, and for us as first-time guests unfamiliar with the way. The most uncomfortable part of our stay, however, was the way we were repeatedly interrogated and followed around the property by staff asking whether we were guests and which villa we were staying in. This happened over ten times within just two hours, turning what should have been a peaceful experience into an exhausting and intimidating one. Even while we were sitting on the river swing, a staff member stopped it mid-motion just to question the villa name again. This behaviour is completely inappropriate, invasive, and unprofessional. Guests who spend thousands of dollars to stay at your property should never be made to feel like trespassers. It is the management’s responsibility to implement a proper system to identify visitors and not to harass staying guests. . The constant suspicion and lack of respect shown by staff were truly offensive, unacceptable, and entirely beneath the standards of any reputable resort.

El emplazamiento es increíble, el personal nos puso todas las facilidades a pesar de haber hecho el checkout, nos dejaron darnos unas ducha y usar sus instalaciones antes de irnos.

El precio es a nivel europeo e incluso más elevado, pero es lo que pagar por estar en un sitio así de exclusivo y con un trato excelente. Merece la pena.

As I stayed in the Sumba house I felt that it’s interesting for a one night stay but uncomfortable to walk on the uneven bamboo and without any real windows easily the insects and rodents could come in
