The Mong Village Resort & Spa

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The view from our room and the pool were breathtaking. The food was very good and the staff in the dining area were fantastic.

Staff are nice and very helpful

The hotel and its views of the rice fields and valley below are absolutely amazing! So I start with 10/10 and work back from there. Location about 3km from town, so not too bad with a grab or a hired motorbike like we had. because we got in late and didn’t want to go back to town - try the restaurant at the hotel.. not our best decision, we ordered a simple spring rolls, chicken fried rice and grilled pork. Worst meal in Vietnam so far unfortunately.. so many fantastic restaurants in town, go there! I am guessing different breakfast chef, because breakfast prepared was really good. Now the stairs.. whilst I saw the stairs on the pictures, I had no idea there were so many. Reception is at road level and then you walk down from there 50? Stairs, then your at pool level.. go up another set 15? to breakfast/restraunt. Then your room, down the 15? To pool level then another 30? Which curve unevenly.. so there is no quick duck out to the mart from this hotel keep that in mind. I am not unfit and live in a 2 story house, so I’m used to stairs.. but a walk from the room to reception is a work out. If you are not up for a workout, pick a different hotel Couple of things I didn’t notice when booking - no mini fridge in the room - no TV, whilst it’s daylight you will just be staring at the view off the balcony, but at night, just darkness Staff were great, very little English on site apart from a couple of reception staff.

Excellent location and the view

During our stay, we encountered several significant issues that impacted our experience. Our initial disappointment began when we discovered that the room provided didn't match our booking specifications. Throughout our visit, we faced persistent connectivity problems with the WiFi service being consistently unavailable. Additionally, construction work in the vicinity caused power outages, which led to particularly uncomfortable situations, including having to endure cold shower during our stay.

Service was really good and the room has a nice view.

Quite a bit of stairs and walking getting to the rooms. They help with carrying the luggages but it must be quite inconvenient! A little bit far from the city centre, you'll definitely need a taxi.

Honestly not much.

Most of the staff did not speak English, which made communication and service difficult. The room looked smaller than in the pictures. There was no view at all due to the fog (not to hotel's fault, but without the view the price could not be justified). The heater would turn off in the middle of the night. The bed was really hard. There were so many stairs you had to climb to get out of the hotel. The hotel is not in a central location and you need to get a cab or ride a scooter every time you want to go into town. The restaurant food was overpriced. They forgot to clean our room after we asked them to clean it. For the price, I cannot recommend this hotel.
