Ecoco Homestay Mekong

I came to Vietnam to experience an authentic lifestyle, fresh air, and nature. I was searching for this throughout my entire trip, and when I arrived at Ecoco Homestay, I finally found the perfect place to stay. Of course, you won’t get a modern room with air conditioning. But that’s not what I was looking for. The boat tour was one of my best experiences. They show you the old traditional lifestyle and how to prepare a wonderful meal using ingredients from nature. The food was also delicious. Lunch is more basic, but dinner was always amazing. There was a vegetarian option, and we enjoyed dinner together as a group with all the guests. I might come back to Vietnam just because of this homestay.

There are no scooters to rent. If you need a scooter. You should get one in Ben Tre and organise your own arrival. If you get to the stay from Can Tho, you need to swap busses in Ben Tre Bus Station, but no one will tell you about this before hand. You need to trust in the busdriver and you non vocal communication via maps. It worked for me 🙂

Beautiful homestay with the most welcoming host family and friends. I was so glad I did the coconut boat adventure and biked around the local towns with morning market visits. It definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone where I saw a real, authentic local experience especially since everyone was gatekeeping what it actually involved. Would highly recommend doing this over a Mekong Delta day tour from Ho Chi Minh City if you have the time. It has made me appreciate the simplier things in life and taught me so much kindness, respect and selflessness. I loved A My’s book too (I didn’t want to sleep and keep reading!) and the handwritten notes in my tent and around the homestay were so beautiful. I cannot wait to come back one day <3

Super endroit ! Famille adorable ! J’ai beaucoup appris grâce a la journée sur le Mékong ! Je recommande à fond. Les lits en dortoir sont confortables. Les douches sont en extérieur mais cela ne pose aucun soucis ! Allez y les yeux fermés !

Le petit-déjeuner était très local. Nous étions en immersion totale dans la vie de la famille, c'était vraiment un moment hors du temps génial. L'activité à la journée est vraiment à faire !! Un de nos meilleurs souvenirs dans notre voyage au Vietnam :)

C’est une expérience familiale, nous avons été très bien accueilli malgré la période du têt. Nous avons pu déguster la cuisine familiale plus que délicieuse.

Nous savions qu’il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude, on n’a pas l’habitude.

La meilleure homestay (et de loin) de mon voyage au Vietnam : l'accueil de My et Hieu et leur famille toujours avec le sourire et très attentionnés est juste parfaite On est en immersion totale avec une cuisine ouverte et la préparation de repas pris en commun le soir...si on le souhaite, on apprend beaucoup en participant Le cadre et l'environnement sont magnifiques et très calmes et les locaux sont très avenants Un coin sans touristes L'excursion proposée est juste sublimissime Je recommande à 10 000 % Merci My et Hieu pour ce séjour inoubliable, je vous souhaite une très belle continuation, vous le méritez 🥰

Lots of plants! Super cute and cozy! The host family and staff are all so kind and fun! The rooms are cute and cozy, the bathrooms and showers are nice. The family meals and food are a highlight for sure! The boat tour they offer was the best experience I’ve had in all of Vietnam (4 weeks north - south) The surrounding area is beautiful! And they have free bicycles that you can explore the area on! They took care of me and my cousin at every moment! And the coconuts! Coconut water, coconut candy, grilled coconut etc! So yummy. This homestay will hold a special place in my heart for a long time. I will be back sometime in the future :)
