Florence at the frontdesk and breakfast and dinner, always with a smile

- the location: the property is just on a marsh full of mosquitos both outside but also inside the rooms - the food: both dinner and breakfast were underwhelming to say the least, with cheap ingredients, deep frozen fries and onion rings and hard to chew meats. Nothing looked or tasted appetising. - cleanliness: the floor were dirty in the room, if you walked barefoot you collected dust - dated environment: outdated and not renovated buildings and lamps not changed - there was an electric generator with unstable electricity, while next door Kamanjab village has electricity. P.S. Please take a look at the responses by the owner to any criticism on this application and notice how rude they are.

in order to have hot water in the shower, which us outside, you need to light a fire. But they don't give you firewood, you have to buy it from them.

Единственное нормальное место в этом районе. Аутентичный интерьер, вежливый персонал, вкусная еда, в целом все понравилось!

Très beau spot proche de la nature, belle vue sur les alentours, déco soignée, accueil absolument parfait, d’un grand professionnalisme et avec beaucoup d’amabilité. Très bonne cuisine.

Cozy chalet and nice decor

入住時間June 27-29, 2025 1.前言 入住時員工有問我們要不要參加himba village tour, 我們回覆要看一下我們現金夠不夠，因為只能付現，員工說有附近有ATM，但我們問他們附近有沒有換匯所，員工問了我們有什麼幣別，我們回答美金跟歐元，他們說附近沒有換匯所 2.異狀 第二天我們報名他們幫忙安排的himba village tour, 出門大概1.5小時後回到房間，感覺放在房間的背包有點亂，好像被動過，就馬上檢查裡面多處的美金跟歐元，發現都還在，就沒有仔細數金額對不對 3.錢不見 checkout後我們回Windhoek準備離開Namibia, 我開始細數身上的錢，發現少了400美金跟50歐元，才驚覺當時是真的有人動過我的背包，而且我們錢放在多個地方，每個地方都少一兩張鈔票，代表小偷很有經驗，為了避免被發現，每個地方都刻意留幾張鈔票給我，讓我以為錢還在就沒有仔細計算，直到離開這個國家前一刻才發現 4.心得 我原本很喜歡這個小屋的，但最後這地方卻讓我很失望！但自己沒在發現異狀第一時間仔細點算金額，也需要為自己負責。如果後續有考慮入住這邊的大家，務必特別小心！ Stay Dates: June 27–29, 2025 1. Introduction When we checked in, a staff member asked if we were interested in joining a Himba village tour. We told them we would consider it after checking if we had enough cash, as the tour could only be paid in cash. The staff mentioned there was an ATM nearby, but when we asked if there was a currency exchange office, they inquired about which currencies we had. We replied that we had USD and EUR. They then told us there were no nearby currency exchange facilities. ⸻ 2. Suspicious Incident On the second day, we joined the Himba village tour arranged by the hotel. About 1.5 hours later, we returned to our room and noticed our backpack seemed slightly disarranged, as if it had been tampered with. We immediately checked the multiple spots inside where we had stored cash (USD and EUR). At the time, it appeared that nothing was missing, so we didn’t count the exact amounts. ⸻ 3. Missing Money Discovered After checking out and returning to Windhoek to prepare for our departure from Namibia, we did a detailed count of our cash and realized we were missing $400 USD and €50 EUR. It became clear that someone had indeed gone through our backpack. The stolen cash had been taken from several hiding spots—just one or two bills from each location—suggesting the thief was experienced and careful to avoid detection by leaving some cash behind to give the illusion that nothing had been taken.

Nice and secluded

It's a cozy appartment on a nice location, very private. The mini kitchen with a fridge is a nice extra, although we ate in the lodge restaurant. The staff is also really nice and helpfull!
