Absolutely stunning views of the volcanos and crater rim. The tents are basic but cosy. The owner is very helpful and enthusiastic. He lit a fire for us one night and helped us plan our activities. There was a cat that slept on our bed that my daughter loved.

Nothing I didn't like. Facilities are basic and there's a short walk down a dirt path to reach it. No facilities to self cater but many shops and restaurants nearby.

It is just great…. It is comfortable and the view is stunning. I mean it.

The tents..no fan..too much flies..the wooden looks like it will break anytime..the steps are too high definitely not for the unfit..the muddy narrow slope is very steep..anyone with asthma can die going up and slope just once..very very bad..I won't recommend this place to anyone..looks good in pics..but in real life..it's hell...only two share toilets...don't play on the swing..the rope is too fine..it could snap and bye2 down the cliff you go...rip...

We enjoyed our 2 nights here. The owners treated us like family. They were celebrating a ceremony for their 3 month old grand daughter and they invited us to enjoy the feast. The gardener plucked and gave us terung belanda (tamarilo) to try as we've never had that fruit before. Such humble people. On our 2nd night, the owner made campfire for us. It didn't last long as the woods were wet from the day before due to rain but we were glad tk have experienced it on our last night. The tent was comfortable. We enjoyed the cold night and slept well. They were upgrading/constructing 2 new rooms while we were there. I wish them all the best in their future ventures. This is surely one of the best memories of Bali for us.

It's a bit noisy, which is something that I wasn't expected! The roosters started singing at 2am for some reason and all the way to sunrise

The area is exceptional. So beautiful lush jungle and really authentic village life and sights and buildings of mostly farmers and business owners going about their business. Very picturesque and really delicious upmarket eateries. The owner and family assisted us, carrying our luggage to the accomodation and making a cuppa on arrival.

Awful accommodation choice. We wanted to try glamping but it was just very basic camping with no glamour suggested! The only positive was the view, on the side of a mountain looking down and out across the lake, village and Mt Batur. Stunning sunrise. But it's just a families tiny, steep backyard and it felt really awkward hanging out steps away from their front door and hearing them eat dinner etc. Worst than awkward - uncomfortable verging on unsafe feeling because the owner pounced on us when we arrived, wanting to know our itinerary and aggressively bartering to provide the services. He was angry and sulking we had booked elsewhere and kept insisting to know what companies and what prices. When he finally released us to show us our rooms he sat outside our door wanting proof of our bookings and receipts to activities. It's a very long narrow and steep trail from the road to their backyard. The campsite is under construction so it's slippery uneven earth and gravel and many steep difficult steps. There are sickening iron cages and dark sheds packed full of dogs and birds at the beginning of the trail. I don't know if that's the neighbours business or his because he has a regular Balinese farm setup closer to his house. It's the only time I saw even 1 dog let alone many contained anywhere in Bali. Beggars were persistent, following us outside shops across roads and onto the trail to the accomodation. The owner angrily berated one man. I get the impression he's been forbidden previously but the way the kids looked on in horror I think it was a very grave altercation and again, the only time I witnessed animosity between Balinese people. There are 3 levels/heights and types of accomodation. Very deep concrete steps lead down to the third and final terrace. Top beside the house are 2 small western style bedrooms, with ensuite shower and toilet.
