Four Berth Motorhome Isle of Lewis

Excellent vehicle for an Isle adventure. Surprisingly economical with the fuel. Everything you need to travel with a family. Great host with very easy and friendly handovers. Would definitely recommend to all.

4 berth is great for traveling but as a family, with two tall teenagers, the sleeping layout was one teenager too many!! The second bed is more of a single.

The van was clean and spacious. We particularly liked that there was a fixed bed as we are more used to smaller campers requiring putting up and taking down beds. We planned to stop in sites where electric hook ups were available, so we could use the heater (still chilly some evening's in June! ), though it does work on gas too. Easy to drive, economical, and a good engine for those hills. Nice that both front seats swivel, so handy for dining or just feet up and chilling. Donald was good fun and very responsive when contacted, both from the date of booking, up to and including whilst we were out and about. He gave us a good run through of the vehicle, which is bigger than our own, reassuring of any concerns. Just take your time, remember it's longer and taller than most people's usual transport, and a lot of the islands roads are single track,with passing places. It's not a race. Allow faster traffic to get passed. Explore the side roads and discover hidden gems of views, wildlife, and memories. We travelled from Stornaway down to Barra and return over 2 weeks. Just wow!

We have no complaints about the van. Some of the roads can be very narrow, and we had a few issues parking in smaller places due to the vehicles size, but most places could accommodate it. Stopping for views could be a challenge as there are limited stopping places sometimes, and you should not block up passing places.

Motorhome was perfect for two adults. Easy to drive and set up on site. All features are very easy to use. Fully set up within 5 minutes of arriving on site. Fixed double bed was very comfy. Could go wild camping with gas set up in motorhome if you wished.

Struggling to think of anything!

Donald was fantastic. He picked us up at the airport and walked us through all the details of operating the camper van. When we had questions on the trip he was available by phone to answer them. Harris and Lewis is stunning. The scenery is breathtaking. Campsites were plentiful but you have to book a night in advance.

Donald the owner gave us a very thorough guide to the motor home and was contactable by phone if we had any problems.The freedom to go anywhere you wanted was great and we stayed at the beautiful Horgabost beach one night.

The bed was a bit cramped for us as both large on the large side.Couldn’t fault anything else at all.

Conveniently based on Lewis just off the ferry. Not too big like some motor homes but with all of the facilities you need for going off grid for a while.

Doesn’t come with room service 🤣🤣🤣
