Only the location of the site. You could walk to the beach, get a bus to Aveiro, see Costa Nova, and we even drove to the Paiva walkways and the Arouca bridge, which was unmissable. There was a language barrier for us, but the staff tried their best and were friendly and helpful . The reception is very smart, but also the local post office.

Where do you start. This is beyond outdated. Yes there are photos, but I really didn’t not expect this in this day and age. It is just grim. The whole cabin is lined externally with peeling cork. Internally lined with OSB, (a waterproof swirly chipboard), floors, walls, ceilings and kitchen and bathroom countertops too. This just makes the whole place dark and dingy. The shower room was a curtain over decking boards. It worked ok, but you stood on wet wood to shower. The lighting is old halogens, or low energy fluorescent, which you can’t replace now, so it was dull even with the lights on, but the halogens give off so much heat, and it’s hot with no air con, that we didn’t turn them on. Hardly any sockets throughout: none in the second bedroom, and one in the main. We unplugged the tv so we could charge devices in the lounge/kitchen. The hob controls had no numbers, so turning on, up/down was guesswork. The decking, was rotten in places, the outside table and chairs were stuffed inside so you had to set them up yourself. The entry patio doors were worn and heavy to open with curtains 1/4m short. The way the cabins were set up gave them no privacy, or outlook, and we backed onto a water tower and industrial site. The place slept 5 and we had a deckchair style settee for two, (which we did not sit down on). They asked for 50 euros cash as a deposit, and seemed to treat the tv remote like it was a bar of gold! (The welcome email said they would ask for 20 euros), after a day or so I noticed an inventory on the side, which was wrong. We had been told a member of staff would check the place when we left and then return our deposit. I think we could have burned the place down and still got 10 euros back. Payment through booking.com was difficult. I got an email from the park, which said I had to send 50% of the booking by international bank transfer. Tricky when you’re already away. I did, and emailed them proof, but got no acknowledgement back.

Na recepção deveriam ter sido dadas informações acerca do funcionamento, horários etc. A Casa de banho do bangaló deve ser mais higienizada, nomeadamente na área do duche.

The unit was located in a campground. It was so tiny you could hardly pass each other. The WiFi didn’t work unless you went out in the street behind the unit. They wanted a $50 cash deposit ( in case we broke or stole something), even though I had paid booking.com with my credit card. There was no electric outlet in the second bedroom.
