If you’re looking to escape the noise and pollution in Chiang Mai, do NOT hesitate to hop on a yellow bus at bus terminal 1 (Chiang Mai) (80 baht) and go spend a couple nights in Samoeng! The owner (Kitti) is the nicest and most attentive guy and always there to help you do what you want to do! He picked us up in Samoeng and dropped us off back near Chiang Mai. We stayed there 3 nights and had a great time. The location is pretty remote, there isn’t many tourist attractions but if you like fishing, hiking, visiting caves, living like a local and experiencing rural Thai life then this is the place for you! Kitti’s parents are also on the property and can cook some delicious food if you like and also help you out. If not, there is a delicious roadside restaurant that makes the most delicious Khao Soi and Tum Thai salad. There are scooters at your disposal for you to use for free and drive around the Samoeng mountains There are different cabins for you to stay at (some newer than others) but they all have AC and great WiFi. Overall, I 1000% recommend to stay here if you want a real authentic Thai experience in the middle of the rice fields! Thank you Kitti and thank you Samoeng!

Awesome spot, felt like we were experiencing Thailand authentically. The owner gave us a fishing rod and we caught fishing with the locals. Very peaceful spot, nothing fancy but we weren’t expecting that. If you’re going from pai to Chiang Mai or vice versa I recommend staying here on the way. I would stay again, relaxing and peaceful :)

Beautiful location. Takes your breath away. The hosts were fantastic. If you like fishing you'll love this place. It was a little chilly, my fault, turned up in tee shirts and shorts. Hosts provided duvet and everything was fine. Lovely local market on Mondays and lots of local restaurants. Need Google translator though 😉

Hiring a bicycle was difficult, though a motor cycle could be hired on site.

Serene and beautiful atmosphere overlooking paddy fields. Friendly owner. Friendly dogs especially "Lucky" (miss him already). In the common area, there are plates, cups, cutleries, water kettles and microwave if you bring outside food and want to eat there.

Hot water in the outdoor shower did not work. Room was a bit cramp with impractical placement of wall plugs to charge devices.

Kind owner.give extra services go and send me to the pickup point . Visit the surrounding nature .The owner also upgraded the room free of charge.

Beautiful place, people are so nice ! You can fish and they will cook your catch for you !
