The Camp at Carmel Valley

The location and property on which the tent is located is wonderful and all the amenities are perfect. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. I loved the surrounding. The fact that we went off season helped because it was so quiet and we only had another person on site.

The only little minus is the proximity of the street if you rent a tent cabine and are sensitive to noise. And also the door does not have any curtain or shade so one feels a bit exposed and the porch light cannot be turned off so the light sensitive people like me have a hard time sleeping.

Well there were no lights on kitchen , toilets or cabin. Couldn’t light fire pit .nice environment but 170 for a tent ? And I’ve been double charged needs to be corrected

The tent/bed was clean and well taken care of. I liked the kitchen and amenities. It would have been nice to know there was a coffee pot to use, I might have brought coffee if I had know that was available. (Not sure if you listed it somewhere and I missed it?) The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The shower was clean as well. Plenty of hot water too. The games provided where also a nice touch.

The tents face the bathroom/shower/kitchen area. A better view would be nice. I was a little surprised there was NO electricity. On our second night, the solar lights on our cabin (#1) were not activated, so I'm glad be had backup as well as the lantern you provided. I thought there would have been some trails around the camp we could have had access too. I tried one but it looked overgrown and multiple trees down created a problem.

The tent cabin, front deck and fire-pit were nice enough. The warm showers, flushing toilets and kitchen area were well designed.

Our dog got covered in Ticks! I woke up to my son screaming that a tick had jumped off the dog and was burrowing into his arm. Hearing cars and screeching brakes all night long on Carmel Valley Road was a big bummer. However, the biggest disappointment was that I only booked this so that my sons could swim in the beautiful pool pictured in the photos. When you book the yurts, you will not be allowed access to ANY of the amenities of the upper campground on the hill. If I had known this in advance I would have just gone camping and not wasted $450.
