Birchington vale caravan holiday park

The bed was really comfy Bedding, pillows duvet very clean and cosy. The caravan was lovely and warm with plenty of hot water. It was easy to find the van and access via the lockbox. As arrived during the evening.

The property was in need of a ‘deep’ clean as there were lots of cobwebs and dust on the windowsills, light fixtures etc in addition the toilet brush in the main bathroom was disguising and I had to replace it with a new one. There was a dirty mug in the cupboard (not just a stain from tea stains)

The park that this caravan is situated is a great caravan park, the clubhouse and the swimming pool are great- book with another caravan owner and you'll have a great time. AVOID THIS LISTING though!

The Heating and Hot water didn't work! The owner attended the property but wasn't able to fix it. The boiler worked for an hour then turned off again flagging up fault codes meaning we had to manually reset it constantly. The hot water never got "hot" so we were unable to shower and had to boil a kettle to wash up. The oven is in desperate need of repair as 4 of the knobs fall off when you try to adjust them- very unsafe as it is a gas oven. You would think you could avoid using it and use the microwave-combi oven but that doesn't work at all! The toaster needs replacing and only 2 out of 4 slots work. The gas fire has to be lit with matches and even then is ineffective at heating the living area. The host initially tried to be helpful and seemed a bit embarrassed that everything was in such disrepair. However upon returning she has been passive aggressive in her response to a fair request to be reimbursed 50% as compensation/apology. She also didn't give us the correct linen for everyone and we were a bedding set short for the first night. Even the remote control needed new batteries! This property is one best to avoid.

Lovely caravan, very comfortable, homely.

I Wasn't aware that the swimming pool, shop restaurant ect was closed during our stay. So didnt end up having anything to do, had to get taxi to other town to do activities ect. This should be on the Ad I think.

Loved everything about it!

Had heating on but was still freezing cold couldn't feel the heat and only had one channel on the TV and didn't no how to turn the fire on

We stayed overnight as we had a family event.The home was lovely, clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We were provided with Towels ,Toilet rolls and hand soap.Thank you so much Abigail for a lovely stay.

There is nothing that we did not like about this property. It was certainly adequate for our needs.
