Badry Sahara Camp

We stayed in one of the larger (family) rooms. The room was newly built, clean, and comfortable. Internet/Wifi worked well and the breakfast was good. But the main reason for staying here was to take the overnight camping tour in the White Desert. This tour was excellent - great scenary, nice camping spots, great guides, and fresly prepared meals. It was well worth it. Badry, the owner, was very helpful and spoke good English. He arranged couple different tours for us.

This camp is excellent for relaxation and any type of spiritual development. Badry is an excellent and welcoming host with staff with the same values. The food was ample and up to our trained taste buds. The Black Desert is around the corner and the White is an amazing jeep-ride away. Thank you very much.

Badry Sahara Camp offers a unique stay in the Bahariya Oasis. It's less of a traditional hotel and more of a rustic camp experience, focusing on the natural surroundings and a laid-back atmosphere. Mr. Badry, the owner, is really helpful. He answered all of our questions about the area and the local culture. He, even, offered to drive us to the town! The rest of the staff is also very helpful and friendly. It's a budget-friendly option offering good value for the experience.

Amazing stay and experience! Me and my girlfriend spent one night at the camp before going for a one-night trip to the black and the white desert, and we fell in love with the place, with Badry and with the other people who work there. The hospitality and kindness are unmatched, the location is stunning and their experience in the desert make Badry Sahara Camp an amazing choice for your stay in Bawiti and for visiting the white and black desert with some extra days of rest. Falling asleep to the sound of chirping crickets is a priceless experience after the aural onslaught that is urban Egypt. Half of the thatch huts have been replaced with lovely brick domed en suite rooms. I stayed in both and while the brick rooms have ensuite plumbing, there was a certain nostalgic charm and quiet in the thatch hut. I was there in winter and the thatch hut was comfortable inside, and the thick bedding ensured a warm and comfortable sleep. Meals were simple and tasty. I was surprised to be served fish so deep in the desert, delicious fish and chips in fact! Thank you Badry and sons, I look forward to my next visit.

The location is a bit far out of town, but this is actually a very good thing. Mr Badry kindly picked me up in town where I got off the bus from Cairo. The bath house is showing age, please be understanding and gentle with the faucet taps. Your patronage will help repairs along.
