Fullabrook Farm Retreat, The Shepherdess Hut

Loved the views from out the front, spent the mornings in the seating area admiring the views and the gorgeous ponies in the field ❤️ love the fact there is a fire pit with everything you need. A stones throw away from some of the best beaches in the country. Bed was so comfy and great there was a TV with fire stick, and the shower and bathroom facilities top notch and very clean, (and smelt amazing!) Hut was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook with (and more)! And we really appreciated the breakfast bar for inside eating as well. Some really lovely homely touches as well like hot chocolate and marshmallows, essentias to cook with, bath robes and electric fans (essential this week as weather was so hot!). Zoe the host was friendly and easily contactable and nothing was too much trouble! We're so happy and had such a great holiday, just what was needed to relax and refresh. Thank you! Will be back! Xx

Lovely shepherdess hut all the modern cons beautiful setting

The lanes to get to the hut are narrow and if a car comes the other way can end up reversing for about 5 mins didn’t stay out late

The accommodation is perfect for a remote couple’s escape. Waking up to the scenic view every morning was incredible. The place is fully equipped with everything you need to cook a tasty meal, plus a comfortable bed, great shower, and cozy sitting area. A perfect nature getaway. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, and always available if you need anything or if any issue arises.

What a beautiful place to stay! It’s such a peaceful location with fields surrounding it and only a 20 minute drive to Woolacombe beach. The hut is very well equipped with kitchen ware, bbq tools etc. which made it so easy to cook our own meals. It’s all exactly how it seems in the pictures- a very special getaway spot that we already want to come back to! Faye & Stan

A beautiful and tranquil location. It is so well appointed and has everything you need for a long or short stay. The bed was both large and very comfortable and the shower was excellent. It was spotlessly clean and Zoe was very engaging and helpful.

The Shepherd's Hut is remote in a very quiet valley. I am used to that and chose it for that reason. I was lucky with excellent weather. The accomodation contains everything needed. The kitchen and shower are modern and the water always hot. The mattress is wonderful. I wanted to take it with me. I enjoyed my stay.

I have a few suggestions for improvements. I missed a small wardrobe or cupboard or shelf for T-shirts etc.. A railing on the steep front door steps would have helped and the path leading to and from the car park was a challenge for me and might not be suitable for some seniors. The following can't be changed: It was very hot indoors on hot days. There are no walking paths directly leading from the hut or nearby. Google maps did not find the postal code, but took me to the next farm.

Great views, great outdoor space! Was lovely inside as well and didn’t feel cramped.

Only the last bit of road to get there

We had a great stay. It's in a fantastic location for a peaceful retreat in the heart of Devon. Would definitely stay again!

The only thing would be to warn people that there is a very small lane to get to the shepherds hut.
