The A-frame cottages have a lot of potential. The place has clearly been loved.

In the 'what did I like' section I said the place has clearly been loved. Equally clear is that the love it has received was in about 2004. Upon entering our room it was clear that it has had moisture issues, it smelt of mould. It really didn't take us long to find the spores actively growing in the furniture in the room. The bathrooms were ok, but could do with better locks and a deep clean to take care of gross caulk and grouting. The kitchen is literally falling apart, and no not the cabinetry, the building. I experienced genuine concern regarding falling through the floor, and watched the double width fridge wobble about 50mm each time someone would walk past.

The heater, although missing two wheels worked, the bed was comfortable, the communal kitchen was pretty well stocked with plates and cutlery and a fridge but no freezer; not sure that it was really clean as the residents washed their own items. The bathroom did not have hand soap in the dispenser, but there was plenty of hot water and the stream of water was good.

The cabins are old and carpeted (i wonder these are cleaned regularly), the furnishings are old and shabby however the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean.

Location was convenient, price was affordable and the room was clean

One set of toilet/shower facilities were closed, so there was a queue in the morning

The cabin was dreary and unwelcoming. There were beds only. No table, chair or anything else. I didn't find a camp kitchen that had anything useable other than a kettle. No cups, plates, cutlery etc. There was a fridge but nothing to make a cup of tea in. Would have been a miserable stay if it had rained.

It's beautiful what more could you ask for I saw a platypus on my first night.Its really quiet

The backpackers side needs a little bit of TLC. It's a bit pricey
