Value for money, lovely surroundings. Kitchen & bathroom accessible by covered walkway.

Kitchen had everything suitable for making meals, except some people seem to have been waliking off with the spoons. No Air con, but in that climate, probably not necessary. It is a backpackers after all. There were heaters. The building didn't have any insulation or double glazing, so I imagine the power bills might be high, Wifi was ok for a while, but seemed to disappear on Saturday night.

Close to Shops and attractions was handy

The price was ridiculous. At $124 for a tiny ancient Room with nothing in it, just a bed. Not even complete smoke alarms. No coffee or tea. It was better than sleeping under a bush but for the price a total rip off. The shared shower and toilets were unisex with shower and toilet cubicles open to the ceiling! Reception was great, very helpful and friendly.

It was tricky at first to find exactly where to check in and where the rooms were located but check-in was very smooth in the end. The backpackers are located not too far from the town centre and the Waterfront. The Gordon River Cruise is easily accessible. I was alone in the two-bunk bedroom so it was great. The room and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable and right next to one another. The parking was very easy under some big trees for shade. The area has a few walks as well. Great value for money!

The only confusing aspect of the whole area was to find exactly where to go for check-in and how to find the room, etc. but other than that, everything was fine.
