Camping Valle de Tena

Staff were exceptional. Coldo the restaurant manager was absolutely amazing and looked after me like a champion when there was no place available for me to eat at campsite. Coldo, I am in your debt, what a gentleman 🙌🙌🙌

Location great. We couldn't use the restaurant though because we had our dog with us

Weather was poor, and we would have liked to use the restaurant. We should have been able to take our dog into the restaurant as there didn't appear to be anyone else in there. There should be an area in the restaurant reserved for diners with pets.

The site itself was pleasant set in the foothills of pyrenees, I suspect that there are some great country walks in the woods nearby. We didn't explore the area as we were just for an overnight stop. The receptionist lady was helpful. There was a bar/restaurant though didn't stay open late. The wooden lodge we booked was compact but comfortable and was perfectly adequate for a short stay or overnight stop. Pets were accepted and coupled with the country location was our reason for selecting.

I had expected the lodge to be a little larger though it would have slept 2 adults and 2 children. Possibly because we stopped as the main summer season had ended, the bar/restaurant closed early around 730pm so by the time we'd walked our dogs we were only able to get a quick drink. No food/evening meals were available at the time. We were told breakfast would be available but when we went it still wasn't open. The receptionist suggested it would open shortly but we needed to get on our way.

Loved the cosiness of the bungalow with kitchenette: very organised with the basic needs and I really appreciated the mosquito nets in all windows. We travelled in September with our dog, the camping was not crowded but all the services were available. We had nice breakfasts at the restaurant, which was still open, and quiet and relaxing walks in nature around the area. Quite recommended.

Cafe supposed to be open and wasn't,in isolated location you need those things. At original price charged I didn't expect to have to pay extra for a toilet,and to have to bring our own bedding and towels.
