Scallow Campsite

It was new, well furnished, cosy and well located.

It was a little bit of a trek to the loo in the middle of the night. But it was very well lit.

Had a great time in the pod and partner was so happy 😀 We meet some staff in the morning and they were a real delight, we talked about coming back again soon. The bathroom set up was so well organised and clean made stay very comfortable thank you

There was nothing to not like, the pod was very well made, felt all warm and cosy and a lovely little retreat to escape from the city. We loved that we were out in the sticks and away from all the huddle and bustle

The fast assistance we were shown from Tim, the property owner, was very much appreciated - we had an issue with wifi, Tim came immediately and investigated the problem. Excellent “customer service” (unlike his cleaning staff as explained below).

We were left with the impression that the cleaning lady believed the campsite was there for her sole benefit ! Horrendous approach to paying customers…… demanding to know why we were still packing away our belongings after the (very early) check out time* despite us being given an hours check out extension from the campsite owner Tim. When i explained this she again “demanded” to know whether or not we had actually met with tim to receive this extension and after pacifying her with our answer she went on to mutter about the negative quality of his management (a summarisation). Further to this cleaning ladies issues, i was sitting in my car waiting for my wife and then depart the camp when the cleaning lady came over at a brisk pace, began tapping on my closed window, and wanted to know if i had taken a towel from the shower, I explained 1) i had my own towel and 2) i did not have a shower that morning nor the night before …… so with a brief unbelieving look into my eyes she marched off………. truly unbelievable - this behaviour completely spoilt our experience of the camp and is the main reason will will not return under any circumstances. The pod was clean on the inside but very unclean on the outside veranda with crumbs and old food, orange peel & old leaves everywhere scattered on the floor. The front of the pod was covered in spiders webs which were at the very least 2-3 weeks old.
