Oak + Stars Hideaway

Cute little hideaway equipped with everything we could need for a few days. The hot tub & outdoor seating area were great & the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Lovely short walk to the village with beautiful views. This was the perfect place for us to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary :)

Only thing (which we were informed about beforehand and wasn’t a huge issue) is that the garden area isn’t fully enclosed so we couldn’t let our dog roam unsupervised even for a few minutes

We loved the Location, the hut and the garden/hot tub, great views.

We struggled to get the hot tun up to temparature the first night after 3 hours it was still only warm but we think it could of been down to damp wood so the fire struggled.. We bought fresh logs the next day and it was nice and hot alot quicker! Atleast we know for next time :) X

The setup of the hut and it's surroundings is really lovely, with fireplace, hot tub, and outdoor seating area, plus beautiful views over the Peak District and the river.

The location is literally in someone's garden. It's somewhat isolated by the fence, but you can still see through it. Also, the instructions on how to get there are a bit misleading.

The hot tub was amazing and private! The location was great with everything with a short walk away. There was a lot of outdoor space and even a private gate entrance for our use only which was a nice touch. There was everything we needed in the hut which was amazing! It was such a good place for walking, relaxing and general unwinding. The little guest books were great to read through too and get some good ideas of places to eat or walk locally. It wasn't fully secure for the dog which we were made aware of prior to our stay but it was not a problem as our dog was good. The bed was really comfy and it was really easy to change from the dining area to the bed area. The hut as whole was bigger than expected from the pictures which was a pleasant surprise too. Little Iroh (the dog) loved the log fire! Chloe was on hand for anything we needed and it was truly a pleasure to stay and we will be booking again.

Hot tub was brilliant and the hut was cozy. bed was very comfortable and host was really helpful.

The rusticity of the place, loved firing up the hot tub and firepit for a relaxing night. Loved how small and cosy the place is, for something so small you do get a lot in there to help. The hob is really easy to use too, if you know what you're doing, make sure the 2 switches are on at at the wall, the tob left button on the hob, hold your finger on it to it unlocks the other buttons and then it's the bottom 2 buttons to select which hob you want to heat and then the + - buttons for temperature.... So yea this place is amazing, with amazing views and amazing walks. The hosts helped before it all with any questions you had and love how they left you too it whilst there. Will definitely go again.

Nothing at all. Maybe due to it raining and not being able to sit out and watch the world go by but apart from that no complaints here. If I had to be picky I'd say to build a shelter over the seating area for the rain but there isn't any need at all.

It was really nice and cosy, good hideaway spot. Would recommend.
