Cil y Coed Luxury Pod

The pod is in the middle of nowhere as exactly we wanted for an escape. The road ends few meters down at a farm house (the owner's Iguess). There was no disturbance from any person, animal or a thing as there was hardly any reception. We had the time to ourselves. Typical Welsh wet weather was the only disappointment but we enjoyed the view and drive whenever possible. great under floor heating. the shower and toilet are clean and spacious with great water pressure fir both hot and cold. The host had made sure we would not be lost. There were accurate information provided timely and in detail.

The title of this column is not really just. the following information could help any new booking. 1. the pod is best for 2 people and 4 if the other two are children, but it is still a bit small for 4. 2. It is a small place so please expect the possible limitations of facilities. the Hob is powerful but thee burners are so close that it is a struggle to use both of them at the same time. there is only a microwave oven so plan your cooking accordingly. 3. the under the counter fridge freezer is good enough but it fills very easily so be mindful when you shop. 4. It is not a highly populated area so please do not expect shops nearby. 5. the deck and benches were lovely but they can be a slip risk too. it was raining most of the time during our stay. I felt the anti slip grips could be used on s few more decking planks too. 6. The space saver tables and chairs are a good idea but they were incomplete.

Me and my partner stayed in the pod about 3 weeks ago now and we had a lovely weekend. The pod itself is homely and very warm despite it being cold outside. It’s isolated from everyone else which we thought was lovely and peaceful. The hosts were absolutely lovely and were more than welcoming to us. Plenty of good walking spots and small towns surrounding so despite the location there’s plenty to do on a weekend getaway. Overall a great weekend and lovely pod, great value for money as well. Couldn’t recommend it more!

The only issue is the roads to get there as they are quite tight and uneven and signal isn’t great but despite that it’s a perfect weekend away!

The location of the pod was exactly what we hoped for - remote, beautiful scenary and just off a lovely country lane. The pod itself had everything we needed - a well stocked kitchennette with everything you need to make proper home cooked meals, excellent water pressure in the shower, and underfloor heating that kept us warm day and night. The host was quick to help and great with comms.

The only downside was the mattress - it was quite uncomfortable but just about bearable if you don't move too much on it... Unfortunately had to knock the overall score down to a 9 because of this, otherwise would've been a 10/10 stay.

Easy to find, well appointed, clean and comfortable pod in a good location to get to some lovely places.

Great location, nice and quiet with good views

Next to the a road (luckily it wasn’t a main road), would have been better away from roads.

Quiet location, neighbours were very friendly when we needed alternate directions one day (road closure due to snow), Ann answered any query we had, pod was very clean and had everything we needed. There was a discussion on the way home about potentially booking again during the summer/autumn months 😊
