Fishing Haven Holiday Park

Location was perfect. I enjoyed morning coffee on my veranda. And I liked the water glimpses.

The park was quiet, and the location suited us for the short time we were there. We really liked the coffee van and the lovely aspect by the river.

Not too keen on the dusty park roads.

The 2 bedroom cabin had a modern fit out with comfy beds and a tv in every room. The shower head was huge and felt like you were standing out in the rain. The kitchen had gas cook tops and also supplied an electric fry pan if you preferred. The river view from the lounge, kitchen and dining areas was million dollar. You can hire a boat for a week for only $200 extra and it’s moored up ready to step onto straight out in front of your cabin. The Clarence is a mighty river with many many places to fish and the fish are there to be caught. Early morning or late afternoon fishing was spectacular. There is a coffee van there that opens at 9am and the coffee was excellent. It’s about a 10 minute drive into Yamba or Maclean but is secluded and very quiet nestled amongst the Macadamia and sugar cane farms along the river bank. The staff are very friendly and helpful in all aspects of your stay. Overall a hidden gem and I would thoroughly recommend staying here.
