Camp Talusi Hilltop Overlooking

A piece of paradise in el Nido literally inside nature, can't arrive to another definition. Ok the stairs are hard, not to everyone but the peace and quiet of the bangalo, the geckos at night, the view , the comfortable bed, Mr. Armstrong's good breakfast, the help, the care and the attention make every step worthed. Mr. Armstrong is an angel, he helps with everything from how to find a SIM card, to the tours, he took me to the agency in the day was I was leaving with his Moto, and even shared seeds of his beautiful plants with me. The bedroom is big, and even if don't have AC is not a problem the fan works good and because in the middle of the trees you don't fell the heat, the shower is cold but you have a water heater if you can't handle it but is not really necessary because is hot in el Nido. And if you are there and have the opportunity, learn more about Mr. Armstrong and the real life in el Nido, is a life changing experience to meet a so wonderful person and enjoy what he built with his own hands for us to have this amazing experience. Would and will come back if I can. One of the best experiences of my life this place.

everything. hot water is missing and it is written no where. the stairs are more than horrible in the middle of the mosquitoes. to access the hotel you have to cross à really poor neighbour in the dark by night and we have been chased by 6 wild dogs barking up to half the long stairs. the shared accommodaties were blown by the typhoon last year so there is no common area anymore or kitchen. I advise you to RUN AWAY with place except if it’s for a night or if you want to camp and do sport. the owner of this place is not nice at all. we were really surprised that all the reviews on booking did not mention the dogs and the missing hot water.

Friendly and helpfull owner

the stairs itself is not a big problem, but there is no stair railings you could hold on, just an unstable rope- that was an issue for my wife. 2 dogs interritory: angry big barking dog did not allow to walk through, and another on a rope close to our bungalo was barking non stop all night do not allowing to sleep. some black dust was falling on us in bed from ceiling during night. booked for 3 nights, had to leave after 1 to another hotel. way to this place is going through sewage.

The view from the hut was amazing, a huge balcony and Armstrong our host was so obliging

The steps I struggled a bit but I'm 69, if you have heavy suitcases would be very difficult. It was a bit hard to find need to have a,few signs.

Lovely stay at Camp Talusi. Only a short walk into town but feels a million miles away at the same time. Armstrong was brilliant and made us pancakes one morning when it was too rainy to walk down the steps into town. The steps are steep but Armstrong helped with our luggage
