Go Camp Maui

The island of Maui.

Christine, the lady who organises billing for the camper and deposited money into our PayPal account in error before we even arrived in Maui. This caused us considerable stress when she wanted the money back with haste, and assumed that PayPal did not charge fees. We returned all the money that went into our account, which after the fees was less than the initial mistaken amount. This was not our fault, and once we returned the money she then tried to return that with a second deposit, only incurring more fees whilst still insisting we hadn’t given all the money back. Once we provided PayPal’s fee details from their website, we thought the issue was closed. This whole situation ruined the surprise I had kept for 10 months for my husband’s 50th birthday. On our return, Christine refused to pay the remainder of the deposit due to her initial mistake, which has left us out of pocket through no fault of our own. This was not an honest experience and it is very unsatisfying to know that a company who made several financial mistakes think it’s acceptable to keep money from honest customers. We would not recommend or use their service in the future.

The camper was good but way over priced.

Had to pay our own collision insurance and third party insurance which took time out of our day.Cost $50 usa taxi to pick up van from some obscure location and$50 usa to do the same to drop off.Campsites were few and far between and ridiculously over priced for what you got.Maui and Hawaii is overrated and unfortable.

This is a great and cost effective way to explore and take in the sights and sounds of this tropical paradise. Christine is a wonderful host! She made sure the necessary supplies were available in the campervan to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Separate campsite reservations are required for every night of the stay, which can be a challenge on short notice.

The converted vehicle was very comfortable. We had enough room to store our two large suitcases and carryons under the bed. This was a fun was to travel around Maui!

Our first vehicle had issues but we were able to get a new one fairly quickly. It did eat into an hour we’d have loved to be on the road. The car is a bit rickety, but performed well going up and down Haleakalā.

The car was small and handy to get around on smaller roads as the one to Hana, but big enough to store lugage and sleep comfortably in. The bed transition is dyi, so dont expect any fancy stuff, but it will do its job anyway. The contact and communication with Christine was outstanding. I made a last minute booking and she was really helpful in finding and arranging the correct insurance (for non-US citizens). I could self-pick up and return the car at the agreed place. Worked well and totally uncomplicated. As finding camping spots last minute is not that easy in Maui, Christine gave me tips in that also which I appreciated a lot. I had a wonderful time on Maui with this car and would definitily do it again.
