Kick Back Ranch

My friends and I needed a quick get away just for a day. and the ranch was perfect spot to do just that for us. We enjoyed the pool, fishing and the clubhouse. everything was simply but nice. I will recommend this to anyone needing a mini vacation.

I liked the scenery of the property and being able to have choices that would include the family as a whole. I enjoyed the fishing, sitting by the poolside and walking the property, which was great for making pictures.

While trying to take advantage of everything that was offered, the game room needed more games in there. The pool table didn't have all the balls, the ring toss was broken, the remote for the TV to playbthe video game was no on the room. There was no complete game in the game room. The room with the TV (I forgot the name of it) was extremely hot and was unable to adjust the temperature, but we had a great time in there listening to our music and playing Uno. The bathroom needed attention and restocking on toiletries.

Location and the ranch country atmosphere

Very quite and very peaceful. Great lakes and clean, friendly staff and off the beaten path. Loved the Longhorn cattle.

Not anywhere real close to eat out. Now if you didn't mind a drive the food was worth it.

The atmosphere, it was wonderful. The quiet, no bright city/street lights, no sounds of traffic. Since we were only staying one night we stayed in the Cowboy Cabins and used the community Restrooms. They were CLEAN and did not smell, the showers also were CLEAN. The bed was not hard as a rock, like most hotel beds, it was a nice comfortable soft (didn't look at it but probably a pillowtop). The room was a nice comfortable size, not crowded. Loved sitting on the porch of the cabin. The gentleman (Mike) that checked us in was super friendly. He even opened the store (Thanksgiving Day) so we could buy sodas. We will be back.

No coffee pot. No ice machine.

The staff was very nice. The restrooms were very clean.

The rooms were a little small.
