Egtved Camping Cottages

Very nice camping site , secluded , and familyfriendly , with a playground , and a small shop . Minimal traffic nearbye , but still only 18 km away from legoland and lalandia.

Very calm location in the countryside surrounded by nature. Near to Legoland in Billund. Morning coffee with my wife at the cottage terrace when the rising sun warmed up our stiffened bodies from the cold inside of the cottage.

Dirty kitchenware, not sufficient heating, with 12 C outside the indoor temperature was quite low even with the heating on max we were freazing. Bed linen and towels not included. The reception staff charged us 100 DKK/person for bedlinen and towels even though on booking the stated price was 75 DKK/person. Wifi only accessible at the reception area. Only cold water in the cottage toilet. The common bathroom was nasty and old.

The cottages are exactly as explained. Small and comfy. The spot is very serene, quite, close to nature and you enjoy the calmness of surrounding. The owners are super helpful and guide you with all queries. Common bath are plenty and clean. You enjoy the richness of Danish nature, farms and peaceful environment. Billund is just 30min drive. Kids friendly. If the weather is good then you can just walk around for miles enjoying the landscapes.

Close to nice farms and lake. So could become chilly at night and mosquitos if you dont care to keep windows closed. Remember to carry all your food and stuff with you as not many surrounding shops and they close early.

Very good place for grandparents travelling with grandsons to visit Legoland. We hired Dutch Cottage on the edge of the camping site. There was a little lake 100 metres from our cottage which happened to be axtra attraction. My 8-year-old grandson caught there on spinnig a little fish, which after being photographed was put safely into the lake. So, young angler had additional to Legoland attraction. The distance to Legoland from this camping is about 20 km. We spend there three nights and there was no single moment to get bored. The lady at the camping reception was very kind and helpful and on behalf of us all - my wife, our two grandsons and me I want to say her thank you very much, especially for giving us permission to catch fish in a camping lake.
