My second visit to this enchanting place. Tried the pink hut this time. Cake and wine under the apple tree, big moon rising up over the woods, heavy dew on the meadow. Exceptional.

"Lovely place to escape to"

10.0

I really enjoyed my stay in the Blackstairs Shepard hut. The facilities in the main building were excellent and the hut was cosy and comfy with everything you'd need for a good night's sleep. Mary was full of helpful tips and suggestions for things to do in the area. The property was beautiful and the area was quiet and relaxing. Such an exclusive place to stay too as only 4 huts on the site. The location is great for exploring the local area and a couple of counties!

One of the most beautiful and special places I’ve ever been to in Ireland. Mary the host was so lovely and Terrence helped me get around and see some incredible local spots. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Charming cosy huts shot through with authenticity and style within magical mature grounds. Fantastic shared facilites within a converted barn where a historic breakfast awaits, much of which is produced on site, including eggs, honey and bread. Mary is a welcoming and generous host who has created something really special.

I'd only booked one night

Tranquil setting with wonderful areas to stroll. The breakfast was really fabulous with home made bread, jams and honey from their bees. Mary is a fantastic host.

This is a beautiful property set in a stunning location. Everything from its location in the middle of rural Ireland to the super friendly Mary greeting you and talking to you to the more than fantastic spread she puts on for breakfast. I cannot sing enough praises of this place!

That I only stayed one night.

"Beautiful and serene"

Hosts and breakfast excellent. Beautiful relaxing venue. Loved the huts.

It would be good if toilet and showers were a bit closer to accommodation. I arrived at night so dark when walking over to bathroom although hostess kindly greeted me and was very friendly.

"A True Gem"

10.0

Evan and I had the most incredible time here! Such a truly beautiful property with the most welcoming and warm hosts. This is a true top spot for any outdoor/nature enthusiast; the grounds and gardens are spectacular, the huts and barn are lovely, and they truly do have sustainability, eco-friendliness, and environmental consciousness at the heart of the experience. The location is exceptionally well situated - it feels remote and cozy yet is near a wealth of little gems to explore. Between the river-way, the towns, the mountain trails, and the property itself, there is so much to do and see (and something for everyone). We would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Mary and Robert.
