Really fun and interesting decor. Super comfortable with all the small touches done really well. The hot tub on the deck was amazing! Bathroom was great. Views are stunning. Very quiet and peaceful. Great to be able to bring our dog too. Walking distance to Russell. One of my favourite stays in NZ and loved every day and can’t wait to go back!

Only small thing was it was a bit hot in the camper van and there was no air con as advertised. But it’s glamping so the fan was enough.

We had the most incredible stay here! We loved the theme and vibe and everything has been so well thought out. We loved the big deck and open kitchen to have breakfast at and just sit and relax amongst the bird song. The bed was comfortable and accommodation much more spacious than I was expecting. It felt so private and peaceful and loved that there were special lights to use if bird watching in the night. Would 100% stay again - just wish we’d had longer!

It was a bit annoying having to take and dispose of our rubbish at the end, but have had this at a few places in NZ so maybe is the norm here!

View is beautiful and the bed is super comfy. This is a place you can really relax and unwind. We spent Christmas there with our little sausage dog and it was wonderful! Would definitely go back.

"Fabulous trailer accommodation with an amazingly cool 50s vibe"

Stella the Excella is a fabulous base in Russell. We loved the quirkiness of the trailer and all the retro facilities and colours - you really feel you're back in the 50s. The bed was very comfortable and the separate bathroom was more than adequate. The outside decking was spacious and a great place to sit back and relax and if you're lucky (as we were) spot kiwi in the garden below. The centre of Russell is about a 15/20 minute walk away though we were lazy and took the car as the trailer is situated at the top of a steep hill. We spent five weeks in NZ and Stella was definitely in the Top 3 of the places we stayed.
