Bed & Kitchen am Tavelweg - Adults Only

Evelyn is a perfect host! Everything was very well organized and ready to use. The kitchen is equipped wonderfully. I really like the coffee machine and goodies that Evelyn provided (herbs, a variety of syrups, coffee etc.) She indicated it's her family house and I really like the atmosphere of the accommodation.

The only thing I wasn't comfortable with was the wooden floor. Since the house was a bit old, there was noise when you walked. It was okay for me but I'm unsure if Evelyn or other guests heard anything. However, I didn't have any complaints about the noise from the residents.

Large room, the garden is beautiful and well setup for having a quiet space, the kitchen is set up with everything required, bathroom and toilet were spacious and clean … Evelyn is very easy to communicate with and was very informative when I arrived and in letting me know when the other room on the floor would be occupied…Evelyn was also very helpful on my last night in phoning taxi companies to book for the following morning… I enjoyed my stay here very much. The location was handy for walking to and from the city, and the attractions that I wanted to see … it is close to the river and a lot of scenic places to see and walk around.. Bern is quite hilly so for moving about with luggage, a taxi or bus is suggested …

Beautiful location and not too far from everything in Bern via a short ride on tram #12. Evelyn was a wonderful hostess providing me with some milk for evenings and mornings and an extra pillow. She even gave me a postcard (which she sells for a few francs) that she made herself (she’s a photographer), and she even mailed it for me! At least, I have faith that she did, we have yet to receive it at home. ;-)

Would have loved breakfast (like other B&Bs I booked in Bern in the past) and if a fan could be provided for really hot days, that would certainly be nice. It gets rather stuffy on the 3rd floor even with windows open for cross-ventilation.

Close to the city center (10m walking), clean room, shared kitchen and bathroom. Very friendly host. Free public transport, bus closeby.

You need to share the toilet and bathroom.

Evelyn is very friendly and everything is very clean and the bed is very comfy, I slept very well! Old city is on walking distance and also very easily reachable by public transportation.
