it’s a big blue house with multiple units. Our room had a big king bed, super comfy with lots of pillows and blankets. tasteful and modern decor, fantastic new bathroom, good hot water pressure. breakfast is served in the room so there’s a small table, desk and couch in the room. large screen TV and Netflix. the small balcony was great for hanging out! The best part was the host Patricio, what a kind and attentive man! we were there over Christmas because our flights were delayed due to a snowstorm, I was feeling sad about missing family time on Christmas Eve. We were going to try and find food (from a store since everything was closed) when he so kindly asked if we were interested in fresh ceviche he was making. it was delicious and it made our night. he went above and beyond as a host and we were so appreciative!

it’s a guesthouse so you’re walking into someone’s house, some may feel uncomfortable doing that but Patricio was most welcoming despite the language barrier. our Spanish is pretty poor so we weren’t able to communicate as much as we would have liked. it’s an 8 minute drive outside of the main area of Castro so you probably need a car to get there and residential so not a lot of options for food.
