Maria's Homestay

Although it was further from downtown were buses to the subway. One could walk to the subway station. Many shops and places to eat. Maria was very helpful.

My stay in the house of Maris is the best experience i never had abroad. Also Maria is very freindly with the guests and always be there when you need assistance. I recommande it to everyone who want à long or short stay in à clean, safe and affordable place.

Good location. Host was pleasant and available.

Unlit dark outside passage to the premises with several drains - tripping hazards. Stairs to basement not sufficiently lit. Mattress gradually slipped to edge of bed during the night. Bathroom not clean enough. Noisy tv upstairs until 11pm every evening. Nowhere to sit except on bed or a chair in the basement kitchen.

The location was alright. A little away from downtown Toronto but for what I came for (a wedding in the North) it was great. Maria was very friendly and helpful, even laid out an ironing board for me after explaining i'd need to iron my clothes for a wedding.

Not a big thing, but there was no TV to have on in the background. The furniture was a little old retro style but some people definitely enjoy that style so it's subjective. The bed was comfortable and had loads of sheets. Also a lot of towels were available.

Had a lovely stay at Maria's. She's a lovely person, very kind and most helpful. Bed was super comfortable.

Weather. Toronto visit too short.

The bed was large and comfortable and had lots of blankets. Very large room. The hostess is very nice. She provided a heater. It’s in a decent location in Thornhill and easy to get to public transportation.

The guest rooms are In the basement. As such there is a mildew smell and I have respiratory problems so was concerned about that. It’s an older house and not very clean. But there are very few short term rentals in Vaughan/Thornhill.
