Quiet spot. Beautiful nature. Great if you want to chill and not do too much (like our first day we loved it). Good value.. Good bedding though top sheet not provided unless you ask for it. Nice lady who offered help to arrange taxi and showed her cardamom and nutmeg. Nice area to walk with proximity to zip line and small snack bar.

Listing is confusing: it is not an "excellent location" (written right after '7 miles from downtown" on the listing). I expected 7 miles from Munnar city as indicated, having searched Munnar. Munnar is more like 12.5 miles 20 km or 50+ minutes from there. Anachal (also with tea gardens) is closer for sure but still 30 min. If you come from Munnar it will be 800 roupies of taxi one way. Location (as the listing says but we did not understand it) is in Elackal. Just near Ripple waters if you want to google map it. We (and 2 other travelers did as well) got confused for listing pictures, some of which show a full villa. Yes there is a full villa but is much more expensive (gotta see listing option). The actual entry level price is upstairs of owner's home, with a shared dining room and sofa with 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms (pic with blue curtains) on the top floor of owners house. I guess I now see you can get villa for more money but we all thought that was what we were getting because pictures in listing are not clearly separate or indicated which is which. There is a kettle but no coffee or tea available which we always get in airbnb. Glasses not always present.. We did dinner. Good Kerala food at 100 roupies (veg) and 200 roupies non veg. There is not much food but rice or chapati. Would recommend if possible more food and i would be ready to pay more. Last, and again just to help the owner, I would recommend clear communication rules for dinner. We did ask for first couple nights but not for 3rd night and unfortunately did not communicate it and the lady brought us dinner we did not need (sorry).

Truly amazing place. It's so peaceful and quiet there. The room was very nice, with all I needed inside. I was offered some delicious homemade food as well. Fully recommend.

We enjoyed a very nice and relaxed stay with a very warm welcome from our very sympathetic host. She was a great cooker and helped us to make beautiful trips in the surroundings. We had a comfortable and separately room in the house of the family with balcony with garden-view and extra space for dinner and breakfast. The house is situated in a cosy area nearby the waterfalls. We would definately come back and recommend it.

The hostess was very friendly, helpful and a very good cook. The room was modern, comfy bed. Cute little balcony with a view straight into the jungle.

Quite remote.
