"Home far from home"

This place is the PERFECT base to visit the northern part of the Dartmoor NP. Easy to reach, not far from services and pub, still surrounded by fields and cows. The host/landlady, is welcoming and discreet, her superb breakfast will boost your day. Don't miss the chance!

"Peaceful, calming and relaxing stay."

Breakfast was continental type and was tasty. Being able to look and listen in the surrounding countryside during breakfast was enjoyable, especially seeing parent birds going in/out of hedge to feed their young. Shower was very good. Hazel guided us on best place for evening meal and booked meal for us at local pub at our request.

Used to a king size bed at home. Found the standard sized bed a little small. Pillows were very comfortable though. Although very thoughtful to have heating on. Found the room too warm during the night because of heating. Prefer a cool room because of a medical condition.

"Charming Stopover on the way to Cornwall"

Hazel the host was really welcoming and friendly. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, great location and a fantastic find as a relaxing stopover on a long journey to Penzance. Hazel booked our evening meal in a superb traditional pub in the nearest village (The Tom Cobley in Spreyton) - complete with Morris dancers(!) Would stay again and recommend wholeheartedly.
