Levani's GuestHouse

Levani is a kind, helpful fellow that through the power of gesticulation and a few words of English was able to show me everything about how to access and use the property. Spacious house with everything well thought out. Comfortable. Cool, homely place. Clean and almost entirely well-working facilities.

It's reasonably central but it's a bit of a walk or a ride to get to the core of the city and the attractions and transport links in Zugdidi.

The room is a little ragged though it's got a nice feeling to it, the kitchen and bath are new, the host is extremely nice, I wholeheartedly recommended it.

House was great, interesting and historical. Quiet situation and helpful staff. Enjoyed the large house and wooden floors. Enjoyed the simplicity of life.

Beds and pillows could be softer. Bed springs are not in good shape.

No one was around when I showed up - as I have found often to be the case at small guesthouses - but an SMS brought a quick response, so I waited only 2-3 minutes for a man to arrive and let me in. The house is quite old with high ceilings and it is a bit interesting to spend a night in such a house. The renovations are partial, but the bathroom is fresh and clean and the kitchen area is quite functional. There were bottles of water and orchard plums in the refrigerator for the guests.

The connection with the room next door lets quite a bit of sound through. Fortunately the other guest was not obnoxious--he was playing some music rather loudly, but when he heard me moving around he turned it down. There is no air conditioning, which was fine for early September, but also no screens on the windows, so a mosquito got in. It is about 2km from the train station.

Staff was so kind, trying to help me.

In the daytime the room was hot. But there is no help in this summer. The room still had a fan.
