This was such a lovely place to stay that I’ve stayed on here 3 times. The host is very accommodating and the one bedroom garden studios villas are really comfortable, squeaky clean and charmingly furnished. For me, it was necessary that I could walk to the airport in less than 20 mins, although I did once call an Uber that only took 6 mins. The home and its lovely garden accommodation is within a very safe gated community. There are 2 small stores within a short walk.

Pretty good Location

It is much better than its description. I stayed (twice, and will return) in a separate villa-like building with large bedroom with 2 comfortable double beds and private bathroom set in a lovely garden behind the owner’s house. It’s in a very safe, gated community. The location was perfect for me as I could walk to the airport in 20 minutes. I was very grateful that this allowed me to use it as a base from which to explore Tikal, Antigua and Lake Atitlan.

Close to the airport **Location tip: It's in a gated community (great for safety, terrible for your Uber driver's sanity). The listed address gives zero indication of where the security checkpoint is, so ask the owner in advance unless you enjoy a scenic tour of the surrounding neighbourhood at midnight.** Insane big rooms, including double beds, outdated but comfortable and outdated by look, no bad smell or dusty. Badroom was huge but outdated and had a ant family living in there but if your not picky, there is a bath and the bathroom where you could play hide and seek

We communicated that we arive late (fully communicated our ETA and 30 mins out mesaage), and were greeted by a man who watched us unload seven suitcases with the energy of a disapproving statue. No hello. No help. Just a silent, ominous presence at the gate, presumably to ensure we didn't escape. After that warm and hearty wlecome we were called to what I can only describe as a principal's office — tastefully decorated with the owner's travel photos, which would have felt charming under any other circumstances. We politely asked if one of us could get the room key to start moving the luggage while the other handled check-in, a reasonable request, youde think, we thought, given the hour and the small mountain of suitcases in the hallway. The answer was a firm no. Payment first. I mean what was he thinking, that we woukd run while the booking is with my creditcarddetails and it was at 11pm we Inside a gated community whose xit we couldn't have found with a compass and a prayer let alone our mountian of luggage. We just hadn't realised we'd given off such strong grab-the-luggage-and-vanish-into-the-void energy. After settling our ransom, we hauled the luggage upstairs ourselves, solid Hyrox prep, honestly, and were welcomed to our room by the only warm hosts of the evening: the colony of ants in the bathroom, the complimentary welcome protein.
