"The staff are lovely and kind! Can’t beat the view!"

You can’t beat this view! Don’t even need to hike or jeep as the view is incredible.

No fridge or safe in the room, the patio door didn’t fully close so flies kept getting in the room. Very basic options for free breakfast.

"Not recommended as it is not worth the money as well as not comfortable."

Location is good as lake and mount Batur can be seen from the balcony. Behaviour of staff was good.

1. It's not good for elderly people as one has to climb so many stairs to and from the room. 2. Bathroom and linen were dirty and were with foul smell. 3. Breakfast was very limited in variety and quantity.

"Stunning view, comfy beds, the area needs better hygiene even on Asia standards."

The view is amazing! The beds were really comfy, however main one on the floor.

We got sick. Not sure if the food here, or elsewhere. However this whole area and all the hotels seem to have no management of their waste, smell is bad. Lack of hygiene around the whole area.

"The Views!! I'm a repeat guest, MANY times."

I've been a regular at the Batur View Homestay for some years, and stay there for the views of the volcano and lake. This stay I was fortunate to see the volcano glowing from several fissures in the evening, quite spectacular. If up early, the torches of the trekkers can also be seen snaking their way up the mountain, but you need to be out looking at about 0300!!. The accommodation is a bit above budget, very clean, and quite pleasant, tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The restaurant is quite good, reasonable prices, and the included breakfast is adequate. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Wifi was fast and reliable.

Room is bit small, but adequate. It can't be bad, I return!!
