Salmon island view

Lovely! This was a last-minute decision to find somewhere to break up a long drive. Just looking for a place to sleep and go. I was greeted at the door by the friendly proprietor and shown around very efficiently. The shared dining room was very welcoming and, although I didn't assume there would be breakfast, it was well stocked and I was welcome to make my own in the morning. My room was a single, and suitably small, but the bathroom was roomy and everything was well considered. A TV, well placed at the end of the bed, and a fridge stocked with cereal, milk, orange juice and water, and plenty of tea/coffee making facilities. Everything was well thought out and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Overall, I felt lucky to have ended up here. I only wish I had time for breakfast.

Bernie was lovely and welcoming from the minute we got to the location. She gave us a great geography lesson on Lough Derg and the local area. Would highly recommend a stay here.

What a fabulous facility and wonderful host in Bernie. Our stay far exceeded expectations. The bed was so comfortable and everything was so clean and convenient.
