Ira Homestay Mathura - Divine Spiritual Stay

I loved my stay at Ira Homestay. True to its name, it felt as if I was staying at home. I had arrived very early in the morning (at 4am) in Mathura. The owner Gaurav, was kind enough to pick me up from the Bus stand. The food was amazing and having just recovered from food poisoning, this was very much appreciated and needed. Both the breakfast and dinner were simple, delicious and healthy. Regarding the accommodation, I had booked a tent and despite the cold weather, the tent was warm and adequate blankets were provided to keep me warm at night. The location is close to the station and bus stand and it is easy to find a shared e-rickshaw to the station. I was particularly impressed by the owner, Gaurav's hospitality. He made sure I felt at home. It is a very good budget friendly close to public transport. I would highly recommend Ira Homestay.

All the members of the family was so much friendly. Gaurav vaiya who was the manager was a nice person and he guided me properly. I will recommend it.

It would be better if the there were a bathroom in the second floor where the tent was. Though it was not a big problem for me.

The family I was staying with was exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful! I felt like at home!

The family who manage the property are very welcoming and nice people. Gaurav - the owner, invited me to a morning prayer and shared a bit about Hinduism. He also gave me a ride to nearby Vrindavan and to the train station after my stay. The property is clean, has hot water, they serve breakfast and even did my laundry for me. It is also very close to the train station. The rooftop yard is a very nice place to relax and wind down.

The place is a bit far from the city centre, but then again - Mathura is not very large, so not much of an issue. The room I stayed in has no window and the power socket is very high up the wall.

We stayed here for four nights during November. Our room was very simple but clean with shower and hot water. There is a menu with few options for meals and drinks if you would like to order something. The real highlight was the host, Gaurav who is the most humble and sweet person we've met so far. He will go above and beyond to help, always with a smile! With a fare charge he was taking us to Vrindavan and back everyday. He is also offering tours to the important places to visit around the area like Govardam and Barsana which im sure that would be great as he knowledgable and deeply spiritual but unfortunately we did not have time to take it.

If you are planning to stay here only for visiting Vrindavan, multiple days like we did, keep in mind that with traffic it can be 30 minutes to an hour.

The facilities are a bit rickety, even in the deluxe room.

I have booked Ira homestay for two nights. Its perfect place if you looking for pleasant stay along with homely vibe. Host Gaurav bhaiyya and there family were very good host and always ready to help you with smiling face for all the things you require/ask. We booked king size room which was very nice neat and clean. You get good geyser in bathroom. Front of our room they have dine out area where you can enjoy your food from host which very good in taste or if you want you can do swiggy/zomato also. Host Gaurav bhaiyya provides there own ro water bottle instead mineral water which I liked much bcoz since its ro its good. Two instances I categorically want to mention, I was sick when I am in Mathura so When asked about Hot water Gaurav bhaiyya provided hot water in thermass in entire two days of my stay, I was not having paracetamol for fever when asked he provided that too. Second instance at early morning we wanted to travel to Agra via Train - we hired one rickshaw for that time but he not arrived at designated time, when our host Gaurav bhaiyya saw that he taken our bags and loaded into his Maruti Ciaz car and dropped us all the way to Mathura junction. Such love and hospitality is something you cannot gauge in money. We blessed we found such amazing host and friend in Mathura. I can surely recommend this place to anyone. He is very charming and knowledgeable person, this property is pretty famous in foreigners that has such reason.
